Official 2013 NBA Draft Thread

I think cavs dropped the ball with bennett, guy looked like a 2 guard standing next to battier

Nets lose to the Bulls who was missing their centerpiece for a whole series, and suddenly their fans get cocky cuz they add two aging players. My head hurts.

He can be that and NTers can still give him props for how he played along with fans at the draft like he's been doing for a few years now, given this is his last one.

I don't know how losing a team that I love would feel like since it's pretty much impossible to happen to me where I'm living but you can't put the Seattle deal all on Stern. Plus the league shouldn't be expanding.
No, the refusal of the Kings to Seattle deal was 100% a result of Stern being a vindictive *******. The flak he caught from Seattleites after the Sonics move to OKC left him butthurt for life.

The first 8 seconds says it all. Dude's a butthurt baby. I ain't even mad though. Once his old decrepit *** is outta there, we'll eventually get a team. Woulda been nice to see Thomas and McLemore in Seattle but I'd be happy with the ******g Bobcats at this point.

I'm still hopeful that Danny manages to pair up Rondo, Rudy, and Josh Smith

Worst idea ever.

Well reports were saying that Danny had a plan to sign and trade for Josh Smith if and when Truth gets traded.

Plus I see Gerald Wallace gettin amnesty in a year

I hope not. It's time to bottom out. No need to spend a boatload of money to lose in the 1st or 2nd round every year.

ESPN HAS to let Reece Davis host their NBA panel. I also like PJ Carlesimo on TV from the Sportscenter segments they've featured him in.

Can't amnesty Wallace. Celtics are stuck with that salary unless they move it.

Amnesty is a one-time opportunity for teams to release one player via the waiver process (see question number 63) and remove him from their team salary and luxury tax computations. For a player to be eligible for the Amnesty provision he must be on his team's roster continuously from July 1, 2011 to the date he is amnestied, without any new contract, extension, renegotiation or other amendment to his contract in the meantime.

Quick thoughts:

The Hawks killed it.

The Jazz killed it.

I think Carter-Williams sucks, but the Sixers still did really well.

Hard to believe anyone would part with 2014 lottery picks.

How does 46 and cash get you all the way up to 27? Had to be a grip of cash.

Tony Mitchell is an easy steal.

I respect having your own way of doing things and sticking to it no matter what anyone says, but I just don't see it with the Cavs' plan. And anyway, they probably could have traded down and gotten Thompson, definitely could have traded down and gotten Waiters and definitely could have traded down and gotten Bennett.

Basically. :lol Stern's enjoying his tears too.
Think he'll enjoy getting booed like that at next year's draft?

Oh wait... :rollin
You know he's stepping down after 30 years not being forced out right? :lol You talking like he lost his job and has been shamed. He enjoyed the boos for like the past 7-9 years.

My dude has really rubbed salt in your wound. You aint mad? :lol Seems right now the rest of owners didn't want it to go down wither.

Also I wouldn't be so quick to trust in Adam Silver for hopes Seattle gets a team.

Cheerish your memories man.

Seattle you're not getting the bobcats or any team in the near future so be content with your WNBA team
I know this. Seattle's one of the best markets for sports though. So an expansion team's more than likely once David Stern's Orville Redenbacher looking *** is gone.

Not what I was implying in the least bit... But keep jocking Stern while you still can 'cause he'll be irrelevant in less than a year.

I hope Trey Burke has a solid year. Ben too.. Dunno how Ben will do in Sac though.

1. The Sixers won, I don't even like MCW, but they still won. They got the biggest talent in the draft who also happens to play the most premium position in the league C. and a top5 pick in a LOADED draft.

2. Utah won, they got the best PG in the draft, he might be an early candidate for rookie of the year.

3. What New Orleans did was dumb, pulled the trigger too early in the rebuilding process. Jrue Holiday and his 41 million dollar deal ain't worth two possible top 5 picks.

4.Look trading down is really tough in a week draft, the Caavs clearly loved benett and the only trade up candidates like Minnesota or the sixers bennett would have been gone by 9. I don't even think he makes it past the bobcats, who clearly were searching for offense.

Bennett and Karsev is not a bad haul.

Waiters wouldn't have been on the board long enough for Cleveland to trade down. Phoenix and Toronto loved him. Thompson was a reach. They can't justify that.

Waiters over Drummond was terrible. I like Bennett... But I rather sure up my interior defense with Noel.

And the Pelicans absolutely blew it.. Why make a move now? Patience.. Next year is too important to try to win now.

Alex Oriakhi and Alex Lens. Let the rebuilding continue in Phoenix

We might have the worst front office in the NBA

Why the **** would you take Alex Len with Maclkemore and Noel still on the board? I dont even like Noel like that, but I'd take him over Len

Archie Goodwin could be a nice player for us though

Did you really just refer to David Stern as your dude? Step out the man's *** for a bit. His refusal to send the Kings to Seattle was completely out of spite. Whether you have exact replicas of his suits tailor made for yourself or not, you can't possibly deny the fact that he's a piece of ****. And while I'm waiting on an expansion team, I'll be perfectly fine rooting for LAC, who just so happen to have a very bright future ahead of 'em. So no, with all due respect sir...
