Official 2013 NBA Draft Thread

But on Charlotte...Zeller was the safe pick. Noel doesn't have the offence that Zeller does and the injury history isn't there

But imagine CP3 in NY. I think THJ will have an immediate impact after I bashed him last night.

The question is why wouldn't NO make that trade. Noel is projected to be at BEST a dfensive stopper in which they already have someone who does that and actually can score the Rock.... Noel was unnecessary for a team that has Both Ryan Anderson & Robin Lopez.

In Jrue holiday you get an All star caliber PG, who if he came out this year would only be a college junior or senior. Except he's already proven and he was already the ONLY focus on a poor team last year and proved that he was the goods.

On top of that that the pick is Top 5 protected... You guys are overating this draft drastically, your not finding a prospect better than Jrue Holiday after the top 5 picks in this draft. As the focus of a bad team he still managed to put up 18 & 8 and to top it off he's an All star pg who's signed for 4 more years at only 8$ a year. For a franchise in a smaller market you can't beat that deal.

Not to mention if they somehow do bounce to the top 5 next year :{ for the L

This also IMO makes both Vasquez and Gordon expendable.... If i'm them i'm hitting the suns up right now and offering up Gordon or hell, ill even take Reke

I'm really pleased with the Wizards draft.

Porter is the perfect fit and should start from Day 1. GRJr. should be a good backup to Beal. Just need to find a vet PG in FA and another cheap Big.

Playoffs of bust next year!

Noel and Bismack might have been the worst offensive front court in history. Zeller brings more offense to the table, runs the floor extremely well. He was indiana's best player this past season. I don't think it's that bad of a pick. It's just not "sexy". Don't worry they are in great position in wiggins anyway.

Thanks guys this actually makes some sense now. I still don't think it was necessarily the right call but im not a GM :lol

wait wait wait... jrue holiday + 2nd rounder for noel + 1st rounder. what am I missing here

mj made that pick back in september. no need to scout or pay attention in general

cavs just plant crabbe on the wing and let him bomb away. if energy levels get low, have the coach shove him

the sixers had 2 second round picks in this draft. They traded jrue and one of those for noel and a first rounder next year( 1-5 protected)

Sixers won the draft and it wasnt even close IMO. That setup for 2014 :x

it could be potentially 1 of the greatest moves of all time. If noel pans out, and the sixers get 2 top 10-12 picks next year who also pan out

Or NO could get the top pick next year and have a core of Jrue, Wiggins, & ChiBrow.

I'm actually not that adverse to the Bobcats picking up Zeller. He will thrive in the pick and roll with Kemba and be able to eventually be a stretch 4. Only thing that worries me is his defense and allergies to physical contact but at the beginning of the year he was a possible #1 pick.

Can't wait for Cody to shut a lot of people up...

OKB, still hating on Jrue :lol

That was a good trade for both teams. New Orleans just got their PG for the next decade, a guy who will make another handful of all-star appearances. If Gordon can get back to playing like he once did, that team could be in the playoff mix next year. Cause the Ant Davis 2nd year jump is coming :hat

1. The Sixers won, I don't even like MCW, but they still won. They got the biggest talent in the draft who also happens to play the most premium position in the league C. and a top5 pick in a LOADED draft.

They also got Arsalan Kazemi. :smokin

Incorrect. Pick is top 5 protected. So NO can still recoup it if they're horrible enough and end up with Wiggins, Randle or Parker

I just think New Orleans is trying to win too soon. Be bad just one more year... it's too valuable of a draft.

but I dont think they will be that bad. Its loooking like the Celtics are the top runners for that #1. With Orlando, Philly, wizards, bobcats around that area

If I was the owner/GM I'd have every incentive to tank this upcoming season

Too critical. You could potentially set your franchise up for the next 12 yrs by sacrificing 1 more season... I'd be willing to suffer through it for the spoils that follow. :\

If you have not watched Vasquez play 82 games last year then you wont understand the trade.

Not to mention they still have room to try and sign a pretty decent FA. I like this trade a lot.

The thing is even before Jrue was there this team wasn't going to be bad enough to be a top 5 pick anyway... This team is very talented.

and like i said earlier NOBODY outside of that top 5 has the potential that Jrue has... then you combine that's hes already an All star and is locked in on a GREAT contract you can't beat that.

Am I the only one not big on Oladipo I dont see him at all as a cornerstone of a franchise he more of an add on to a good team imo

Should I be excited for Mclemore?
Yes!! The dudes young and is lights out shooting. I would be ecstatic
Cheers bro.

I think I'm just most excited about us drafting another guard because now out roster composition makes even less sense. Meaning I'm hopeful/expecting our front office to make lots of moves and shake things up a bit.

I don't think anybody was really going for a cornerstone this draft...not that kind of players. But I feel he can average 15 6 4 if he starts. He's a solid player. One of the best, if not the best of the draft
