It's a fact OKC is the 3rd worst 3 point shooting team in the league. And yet Russ is averaging 1 assist less than Beard.
An assist is an assist, saying a 2 point assist is harder to get makes absolutely no sense, especially considering the highest percentage shot to take in basketball.

What? It's about having actual shooters. Who would you rather be kicking the ball out to, Gordon or Roberson? Anderson or Sabonis? It's not even close.

Let me ask you this. Do you truly believe curry deserves a vote and Westbrook doesn't?

No. But his argument is more compelling than giving it to Westbrook because of a triple double.

If Westbrook averaged 9.9 assists he wouldn't be any less valuable to me. He would still be a MVP candidate.

most of y'all bron haters are way more irrational than the so called stans that y'all are in a war with.

Thats a fact.

I tell you man you have got to just laugh at them. When most of them are laker/reformed Warrior fans, all you can do is laugh. Point out that their actual team sucks, point out that the warriors couldn't save them from watching Cleveland win that ring and move on from that. :rollin

I agree Houston has better shooters, everyone knows that.  But saying Westbrook's assists should be more valued because of that is an excuse.

He said nothing about it being more valued. He said it's harder which is irrefutable.

Looks like our final scoreboard is: three votes for Harden (Oliver, Pelton, Gupta), one each for Kawhi (Alamar) and Curry (Engelmann) and a half vote for pre-injury Durant and Thomas (Maheswaran). Which means zero votes combined for Westbrook, James, CP3 and Jimmy Butler -- which, by the way, would make one hell of a pickup team.

This is a perfect example of why advanced stats don't always work.

These dudes talking about CP3 who's missed multiple games but maintained the 5th spot in the "tougher conference" meanwhile in DC Wall was missing 5 minutes per game and Washington was in the lottery.

60yrs...this hasnt been done with all the great players that have played since then never avg a triple double idk about yall but i know greatness when i see it whether you wanna call it stat padding or whatever Russ should be the MVP but the way this voting process works hes going to get snubbed

Last year when I was saying Beal for MIP everyone brought up how CJ scoring was higher. That's it. Just scoring.

Now Barnes has the biggest jump scoring wise and NOBODY mentions him for MIP.

NT needs to be more consistent with its narratives.
