bruhs allowing records to tell the whole story.

there's wayyy more to it than just 60 win seasons. those teams was butt dumplings.

dudes love to rewrite history when it's comes to lebron I don't remember ANYONE calling those cavs teams crap when they were winning 60 games ....people were even picking them to win the championship

Look at the rosters on those teams besides Lebron, like really look.

Word, those 60 win squads are deceiving as hell if you just take it at face value :lol

Mo Williams was your 2nd best player on the squad and Boobie Gibson was considered their go to spot up shooter :rollin

I will say that The league was the most lit it's ever been (At least since i've been alive) when the big 3 formed in Miami.

It brought in casuals, it was so polarizing. Everyone wanted to be a part of it either to hate or love it. It was a real life basketball reality tv show. And they won in the most dramatic fashion possible. It was an awesome time man.

The pressure to win, the losing to dallas, the series against Dallas, the series against the Celtics w/ Bron game 6, etc. etc. It was just awesome man.

Cosign Cosign...Alot of casuals became hardcore fans during that run, everybody wanted to see the Heat or was a fan all of sudden

Lot of revisionist history going on here. Hell everyone was looking forward to Kobe v Bron in the finals, Nike came up with one of the best marketing campaigns in history with the puppets.

Dwight had to ruin it all :{

A Bron - Kobe finals back then would've shut down Yuku's servers :lol

One of the greatest moments in Sports I've ever seen.

Everything was on the line here, so much of 2012 to now in the NBA looks totally different.

For all the talk about Bron not being "clutch", the single game when his legacy was on the line, he answered emphatically.

AND on my birthday. :lol

Came back from shopping in Soho, smoked a blunt of sour and sat in my parents basement watching my favorite athlete of my young life force the doubters to put respect on his name.

**** is inspiring b. :hat

so if they werent buns..what were they? what do you consider a 60 win team that gets popped in the ECF 4-2 and then the next year catches a body in the 2nd 4-2 to a team that won 50 wins?

if they werent buns, then they were hella pyrite.
So during those season you were calling them trash ?????

I was in socal visiting some buddies down there and I remember watching this game and I was like screaming at the TV and rooting for Boston to win because I didn't want the Thunder to play the Heat in finals

I know a couple of Bron haters that came around after that game :lol :hat

45-15-5 on the road in an elimination game in that circumstance...all pregame talk about his legacy being legit on the line that night and he went out and took over with a performance from the ages :hat :hat

I knew we were in for something special when he had that killer focused look in his eye from the get go,I'd never ever seen him like that before :lol

If LeBron joined the Celtics in 2010 maybe the comparison would make more sense. Except if KG/Pierce/Ray were still in their 20s. And if he had a top 5 player alongside him in CLE instead of Mo Williams. He created his own squad in Miami with pieces that weren't a natural fit. Bosh had never been out of the 1st round before, and Wade hadn't in the previous 4 years. 3 great players obviously with a ton of talent, but they had to start from scratch and figure out how to make it work as a team. They also went into that experiment starting Carlos Arroyo at PG who was barely an NBA-caliber player by that point. Not really the same as KD joining a ready-made 73-win team that had just beaten him. I'm not mad at KD though, it's his right to choose whichever career path he wants. I just think calling the Bron/KD situations the same thing is a reach.

Could you imagine that Boston team in like 2002?

Prime KG/Ray/Pierce/Sheed. :x

They would have talked the most **** of any team in a long time as well.

i..like most people never actually thought they were good, again we were looking at the pieces, not how they played together. Individually the pieces, outside of bron, weren't ****. So I didn't call them trash during, but I definitely wasn't gassed on them. I distinctly remember saying to the effect of 'damn, cavs balling. we'll see how long it lasts. They're playing tough as hell. but bron is doing everything. Slow down bron, that's game'

The team was weak though, bron was just a superstar. he was the head of the snake. they never had a legitimate chance.

I'm calling BS man, almost nobody was saying that in 2009 or 2010.

I loved that game 6 performance..even as a hater. dude balled his *** off against a tough *** boston squad.

question though...I actually feel like his performance against the warriors this year was better. That was for elimination, so was this. And a chip. 2 game being on the road. back to back 40s.

Okay I do get what youre saying here, but to say that bron himself took a team full of bums to the finals and ECF and back to back 60 plus win games what does he do with again the 2nd best SG and (i say best) but 3rd or 4th best PF in the league at the time? It doesnt matter if pieces werent a natural fit if he can take by NT standards BUMS to the finals what does he do with 2 guys who are 26 and 6 and 24 and 10? Also, out of the three of them Bosh was the only one to take a hit in points from 24 to 18. Im sorry but we cant have it both ways. At that time it was 3 superstars on the team. 3 superstars. When was the last time you saw 3 superstars on a team. Kobe didnt even have that(although shaq could count as 2 lol)

bro i'm a laker fan. after 2008, only other squad I recognized as a threat to us was Boston. I didn't see anybody else as an obstacle. And they, to me, were the benchmark in the east at that time. Even when other squad found rhythm, I didnt see them being able to go through boston and win. That cleveland team didnt challenge boston at all. and 09, kg was hurt, didnt count. that cleveland team didnt even challenge orlando.

agreed. As a hater..this year was his Dirk with mavs 2011moment. Dirk used to get ished on by the majority. After that you couldnt hate on Dirk.
Can't even hate on Lebron like that anymore. Dude is as good as advertised.

Lol at Carmelo thinking he still a top 10 player.

Bron
Steph
KD
Russ
Harden
Kawhi
CP3
Blake
Boogie
AD
Wall
PG24
Milsap
Dame

Then Melo, but these lists are stupid anyway.

The top 15-20 is pretty fluid especially with young players leveling up every season and other guys falling off.

This has been argued about a million times over the years, but the Cavs from '07-'08 to '09-'10 were 1-13 without LeBron. I think that's all that really needs to be said on that.

People definitely said LeBrons Cavs teams were trash outside of LeBron. Because every time LeBron lost people who hated him would say LeBron fans were making excuses.

I thought LeBron had trash for support then and I still think it now. There are many people like me. And its still true.
