In response to all this Amare criticism I'm hearing: You guys are insane: he is not that bad, at all. Not even close to as bad as y'all make him.

Y'all got people thinking he's Kendrick Perkins.
I guarantee you I watched more Heat games than anybody except a few Heat fans and....this garbage y'all are.....man this is just garbage y'all are spewing, straight up.

The dude shouldn't have been starting or nothing, but you can't convince me he played 15 minutes per game all season, and then didn't deserve 5 after Whiteside goes down.

Just stop. I'm sick of this misinformation. Just cut it out

Some people only see things one way. It happens too often.

Like Rivers not being serviceable.
Like Speights not deserving 10-15 minutes last year this year or any year.

Like Kanter not deserving any PT because he's so so bad on Defense.

Some things just get green lit, then consigned, then it's groupthink and people believe it to be true.
Amare should have been playing, point blank period

I respect Warriors fans. I just don't respect the bandwagon.
I've said this before, and I'll continue to say it: that applies less to the Warriors than it does any team on NT. I can't speak for FB sports groups. I can't speak for reddit. But I can speak for here, and here... HERE... Warriors have been deeeeeeeep as long as I've been here (2003 or 2004). Whether it was ezboard or yuku or huddler, Warriors thread BEEN long.

Does that mean there are not ANY Warriors bandwagon fans? Of course that's not what it means, because there are. There are bandwagon fans of EVERY single champion. Royals. Marlins in 98. Braves in 96. Tampa Bay Bucs fans the year after they won... whatever year that was. Saints fans the next year. "Oh, I remember when we were the Aints." Of course you do.

Yes, there are Warriors bandwagon fans... but I have to be real and make sure it's known that Warriors have been ANNOYINGLY deep on here long before their championship last year and success this year.

Thank you. That's why I said they have no Idea what they're talking about. And this is why I don't get along with half our fan base, they don't really watch games or pay attention to what's going on but love to form opinions.

Miami played Toronto 4 times in the Regular Season.

2 of those games Amare missed due to injury.

2 of those game he played, 2o minutes in one and 17 minutes in the other.

There was a game where Winslow didn't even play AT ALL in this series, but all of a sudden he starts at Center and Amare is glued to the bench once Whiteside goes down.

Just a scenario; Heat lost Bosh but still believed they could give Cleveland a series and would for sure advance against Toronto with the Cast they had. THen, Whiteside goes down. It now becomes apparent even if they advance passed Toronto that they will be embarrassed by Cleveland. Pat Riley didn't want to subject himself, D Wade, Heat Players and Heat Nation to this type of embarrassment at the Hands of the King. If he can't compete with them, he didn't want to see them. Wade coasted this whole series after Whiteside went down. Yes he had decent showing in Miami, but that is their HC, Home crowd, they deserve a win. The game today, he shot 13 times. ON a few occasions he even passed up great looks to get others decent looks. I don't think he or the Heat had any intention of winning this game and going on to see Cavs. In the meantime they have 2 rookies who can learn a lot. So they make the best of the situation and roll out letting the kids learn @trial by fire combat.

^^^Now that is a theory that I just concocted, but it seems a lot more plausible, a lot more believable than telling me that Amare couldn't have offered the Heat anything in the last few games.

Difficult to recall a more hyped up WCF than this one since 2002. Hopefully it delivers.

was away on a small trip and was reading some of the pages from earlier this weekend and I find the hypothetical of swapping steph and LBJ to be completely asinine. let me take off my GSW fan hat for a second and just say that a steph-lead team beat a LBJ-lead team. saying that LBJ replacing steph would have resulted in GSW beating Cavs by an even larger margin is stupid and equally as ridiculous as saying "replacing Steph with Dame wouldn't cause too much of a drop of." lebron undoubtedly makes his teammates and team better, but I doubt he impacts perimeter defenders and can open up shots for Klay the way Steph does, which is a huge component of GSW's offense.
You call my comments asinine and you respond with this?

So if you traded Steph for LeBron and replayed last year's Finals,

Stephen Curry

Iman Shumpert

J.R. Smith

Tristan Thompson

Timofey Mozgov

Matthew Delly

James Jones

Mike Miller

Kendrick Perkins

Shawn Marion

David Blatt

would have beaten a team of

LeBron James

Klay Thompson

Harrison Barnes

Draymond Green

Andrew Bogut

Andre Iguoadala

Shawn Livingston

Festus Ezeli

Leandro Barbosa

Steve Kerr

You're kidding.

Then your reasoning for this is basically "because Steph-led team won last year, there's no way a LeBron-led team could have done better."

What are you saying? Forget the 35+ margin for a second. You think that the Cavs with Curry and those scrubs would have won a single game?

90% of you are completely basketball illiterate. It's amazing how people are so oblivious to the fact that Curry's job is ten times easier because he has one of the very few elite coaches in the world + he has been playing with the 2nd-best shooter in the world for basically his whole career.

Y'all dudes think he would be doing this if he had David Blatt and J.R. Smith on his side.

I'm pretty sure you been here since 2002 (or earlier). You weren't on here when the Angels won?

Why would a laker a fan not root for lebron? He's played in the east his whole career . stop confusing all laker fans with mamba d riders that can't stand the sight of anyone stealing beans shine .

i could care less about kobes shine. id hate lebron either way. has nothing to do with being a laker fan.

Biyombo>> Ezeli and speights
Factoring health signing Ezeli to 17m a year would be good if you could get 70 games every year from him but we all know that isn't happening.

Happy for Biyombo, man. I was a believer when he was drafted.. and while he hasn't turned into the dominant, DPOY caliber player I had hoped for.. his stint in Toronto has proven his value and what he's capable of. Still wishing the Knicks took a chance on him last offseason, still happy to see him flourishing.

What prompted the comparison here?

All backup would free agent centers I'm just watching the replay of the game now and biyombo is pretty good mobile can defend the rim switch on guards a bit and catch lobs and is durable

Biyombo flourished because he was the biggest person on the court and we had a PF in Winslow on him. Put someone his size on him and he'll craw back into his shell and be a non factor.
