Biyombo flourished because he was the biggest person on the court and we had a PF in Winslow on him. Put someone his size on him and he'll craw back into his shell and be a non factor.
Eh his role is rim protection anyway and JV missed a couple games and he was pretty good for a backup

Biyombo is about to be up against Tristan.
He'll prove his worth to those who don't know.

was away on a small trip and was reading some of the pages from earlier this weekend and I find the hypothetical of swapping steph and LBJ to be completely asinine. let me take off my GSW fan hat for a second and just say that a steph-lead team beat a LBJ-lead team. saying that LBJ replacing steph would have resulted in GSW beating Cavs by an even larger margin is stupid and equally as ridiculous as saying "replacing Steph with Dame wouldn't cause too much of a drop of." lebron undoubtedly makes his teammates and team better, but I doubt he impacts perimeter defenders and can open up shots for Klay the way Steph does, which is a huge component of GSW's offense.

You call my comments asinine and you respond with this?

So if you traded Steph for LeBron and replayed last year's Finals,

Stephen Curry
Iman Shumpert
J.R. Smith
Tristan Thompson
Timofey Mozgov
Matthew Delly
James Jones
Mike Miller
Kendrick Perkins
Shawn Marion
David Blatt

would have beaten a team of

LeBron James
Klay Thompson
Harrison Barnes
Draymond Green
Andrew Bogut
Andre Iguoadala
Shawn Livingston
Festus Ezeli
Leandro Barbosa
Steve Kerr

You're kidding.

Then your reasoning for this is basically "because Steph-led team won last year, there's no way a LeBron-led team could have done better."

What are you saying? Forget the 35+ margin for a second. You think that the Cavs with Curry and those scrubs would have won a single game? :rollin

90% of you are completely basketball illiterate. It's amazing how people are so oblivious to the fact that Curry's job is ten times easier because he has one of the very few elite coaches in the world + he has been playing with the 2nd-best shooter in the world for basically his whole career.

Y'all dudes think he would be doing this if he had David Blatt and J.R. Smith on his side. :rollin

"ooohhh well Lebron didn't have Kyrie or Love.."..."ohhhh, he was stuck with a team full of scrubs in the finals!"..."ohhh, Lebron didn't have an elitecoach on his side".."oh, Lebron didn't have the 2nd best shooter in the league on his team"

damn, Lebron stans will go to great (and all) lengths to disparage and take away from any other player not named Lebron.

you call 90% of people "basketball illiterate" but it's clear you don't watch a lot of GSW basketball. you could attempt to replace steph with lebron and what happens to GSW's ball movement on offense? you think Lebron is going to play under a system like Kerr's where multiple players (including the center) handle the ball on each offensive set? Is Lebron going to require opposing centers to switch onto him off of screens out of fear of his amazing 32% career 3-point shooting while the pick setter gets switched onto smaller defenders?

do me a favor and try to understand how steph makes the job of his teammates ten times easier because he is possibly the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA + requires opposing defenses to either double team him or switch on PnRs + is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA + is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA + is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA . There's a reason why GSW is one of the highest scoring teams in transition and leaders in offensive efficiency I think it has to do with the fact that Steph is is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA.

but lemme go back to being basketball illiterate.

So there's a reason that the Warriors have been at or near the top of the list for offensive efficiency exactly TWICE out of seven since Steph came into the league?

Is there a reason for the following things?

2009: Cavs #4

2010: Cavs #4 (Miami #19)

2011: Heat #3 (Cavs #29)

2012: Heat #6 (Cavs #27)

2013: Heat #1 (Cavs #23)

2014: Heat #2 (Cavs #23)

2015: Cavs #4 (Heat #22)

2016: Cavs #4

Does this mean anything? Also, what about defense?

I been a Warriors' fan since 1993, but I've been an idiot since never. Stephen Curry's impact on offense is greater than LeBron's, but not nearly by as wide of a margin as ignorant people think. Now however wide that gap may be, the gap between the two players' defensive capabilities is five times greater, in favor of LeBron.

This dude swears up and down that LeBron wouldn't fit into a particular offensive system.

Two GSW fans calling each other idiots.
Ironic.

GVHP2223 and moe200069, similar names styles, even more ironic.
Sure y'all aren't the same people?

GVHP just dropped some interesting knowledge with those Lebron efficiency stats though, repped

Update on the 2016 NBA bracket challenge.

After round 2, @atransta is in first place, with @TennHouse2, and youngwolf youngwolf in second and third place respectively.
@atranstataking this one home
I think it's hilarious that you're basically in last place. I was just looking at your bracket actually..... :lol :lol that first round was a disaster.

Boston lost Avery Bradeley and go 7(edit 6)should be Boston>Atlanta

Clippers lose everybody, and then lose 4 straight to Blazers and blow a 3-0 (edit 2-0)lead, should again be Clippers> Portland

Indiana losing to Toronto? Was more banking on Lowrys bum elbow but even so, Still shocked at that, as everyone else should be after just watching Toronto/Heat.

I even had Heat advancing past Tor in rd2, which again, still shocked even with the loss of Whiteside that they lost that series, I'm sure everyone is shocked also after just watching Toronto.

I'm close to last but I'm basically in 1st place. Clippers would have beat GSW too, had they not lost what they lost.

I'm basically in 1st place.

It's also the Thunders year.

But nah I was looking at it and if some of those things swung the way you wanted you'd be in first place for sure.

Clippers was a super sketchy move.
The rest of them I would have bet real money on.

Why would a laker a fan not root for lebron? He's played in the east his whole career . stop confusing all laker fans with mamba d riders that can't stand the sight of anyone stealing beans shine .
Literally word for word. +1

It's truly unbelievable how many people confuse the two.

Miami played Toronto 4 times in the Regular Season.
2 of those games Amare missed due to injury.
2 of those game he played, 2o minutes in one and 17 minutes in the other.
There was a game where Winslow didn't even play AT ALL in this series, but all of a sudden he starts at Center and Amare is glued to the bench once Whiteside goes down.

Just a scenario; Heat lost Bosh but still believed they could give Cleveland a series and would for sure advance against Toronto with the Cast they had. THen, Whiteside goes down. It now becomes apparent even if they advance passed Toronto that they will be embarrassed by Cleveland. Pat Riley didn't want to subject himself, D Wade, Heat Players and Heat Nation to this type of embarrassment at the Hands of the King. If he can't compete with them, he didn't want to see them. Wade coasted this whole series after Whiteside went down. Yes he had decent showing in Miami, but that is their HC, Home crowd, they deserve a win. The game today, he shot 13 times. ON a few occasions he even passed up great looks to get others decent looks. I don't think he or the Heat had any intention of winning this game and going on to see Cavs. In the meantime they have 2 rookies who can learn a lot. So they make the best of the situation and roll out letting the kids learn @trial by fire combat.

^^^Now that is a theory that I just concocted, but it seems a lot more plausible, a lot more believable than telling me that Amare couldn't have offered the Heat anything in the last few games.
Lol at u putting that much thought into it but failing to realize that amaré dont even belong in the league anymore
