I feel like you can get the same 9, 2 and 1 from the top 15 guards in the D league Austin gives you.

Yep. For a guy who was birthed into basketball and has had his dad coaching him all his life, you'd think he'd be more than marginal. He should be Chris Paul or Curry instead of 2011 Mike Bibby.
  maybe this just means Doc is trash :nerd:

Doc was only good in Boston when Tom Thibodeau was there with him

Explain him having yet to shoot even 70% from the FT line. Sorry, I'm not buying Austin being a shooter.

Not trying to sell you on Austin being a shooter. But 40 games is a huge sample size.

Whatever, maybe he's just having a hot 40 games or something

It is? In comparison to the rest of his career? I beg to differ.

I'm not changing my mind based on ~120 attempts. If he shoots well next year and sustains it throughout the season I'll admit I was wrong. For now, 33% from three and 68% at the line does not scream good shooter to me.

Also, if you're not trying to sell me on Austin being a shooter then I don't get what you're saying.

You're not trying to sell me on Austin as a shooter... but you don't think he just hit a hot streak either. Which is it?

Day 2 of the 2015-2016 NBA Playoffs is officially, a wrap
haha my dude Mr.2Cool80, nobody on earth closing playoff nights like him [emoji]128076[/emoji]

trust me i tried to sneak one in last year and he beat me to the punch .. theres no one quicker than the professional of all professionals.

Last year, the 3-6 Matchup in the West was (3) Spurs vs (6) Clips. Both teams had 55 wins and the series went to 7 games.

This year, the 3-6 Matchup is OKC vs Memphis. OKC has 55 wins, Memphis has 42......

Yup. Definitely a down first round .

That he isn't terrible. Simple

He's only 23. Since christmas he's at over 10 a game in just over 20 minutes and shooting over 42% from 3 on over 3 attempts per.

If that's terrible, nepotism, whatever, then so be it. We'll agree to disagree. And if you don't think he's a plus defender then we'll just agree to disagree on that too. analytics, whatever metric you want to use, all point to him being a plus defender since coming to LAC.

If that's terrible then okay.

After watching Steve Blake try to play basketball, Detroit is wishing they had Austin Rivers.

Which metrics are those? It's not a perfect stat by any means, but his DRPM was -1.6 last year and -1.9 this year, both in the bottom half of the league among PGs.

The eye test tells me he's decent on ball but bad off the ball, but you see more of his games than I do so maybe you see it differently.

Blowout Season. Can't believe the only good games so far have come from the Pistons, Hawks, and Celtics.... Actually, what does that say about the Cavs
