Once Lebby rejects Philadelphia, what should their Plan B be for upgrading their roster?
Pitch Paul George.

Worst case they can just run it back with the same roster from last year.

Fultz was a highly rated prospect, #1 pick after all and gave them nothing.

I mean I don't have anything personal against the guy... he's certainly trying.

It's just that none of his clients seem to show major improvement.

Every time Otto Porter gets hurt (not a hanlen client) and Oubre becomes the starter, Oubre s**ts the bed.

Oubre has to be held accountable first...but the next person I'm looking at is Drew.

The only Hanlen client that impresses me (after having worked with Drew) is Lavine and he's still not a full year out of the ACL injury.

Embiid was good before hanlen came into his orbit...

I agree on Embiid.

Last I heard, Lavine’s dad does all the heavy lifting in his development. But it is interesting to see Hanlen doesn’t have anyone other than Beal shooting league average from 3 and he already came with a stroke.

Hmmm

If it’s the lakers in a sign and trade what do they give to Cleveland or possibly to another team if it’s a three team trade

Why would the lakers entertain a sign and trade for lebron when they could just outright sign him given that they have the requisite cap space to sign lebron and another max player?

The only sign and trade the lakers are thinking about would have to be involving Julius Randle.

I can see em either going straight after PG or offering a sign and trade. Or going after Leonard if he’s still available.

I personally don’t mind if we stay patient and focus on the development of Our core, our #10 and see a healthy Fultz get his shine. Then surround the core with shooters and defenders. We should also expect Bolden to come over. I feel like he will be a huge asset for us.

Our main focus now should be:
  • The draft
  • Sign competent, honest GM
  • Go after Bron
It should be in that order. The one thing I’d hate is to make short sighted moves like hiring Griffin only to miss out on Bron.

My point was that it’s not the Lakers lol
Lol I didn’t see your post I was just wondering what they’d have to give up in this scenario

Feel like he wouldn’t be telling them like this if he wasn’t trying to get a sign and trade worked out

Griff is a competent GM though.

He wouldn't be a bad hire by any metric.

Don’t know, just wondering why Lebby would inform them by tomorrow

I can’t speak on Drew being a fraud, I only know of his work from when comes across my timeline. He’s got the clientele, that’s for sure. I will say Oubre made a pretty significant jump from year 2 to 3. I don’t know when he got to Embiid but if he’s a major part in his development then he deserves all the props in the world

Didn’t he have Beal too?

His only good moves were the deadline trades during the 2015 season.
Outside of that he was kinda trash.

He worked in the NBA prior to being employed by the cavs.

He had a major part in building those 7 seconds or less Suns teams...

Embiid, Bradley Beal, Lavine and Oubre all made jumps in their games after working with Hanlen. Jayson Tatum worked with Hanlen all summer it seemed leading up to and then a little after the draft. He seemed to be on a whole different level than what we saw from him in college. All of his clients go out of their way to shout him out and promote him.

Will you not respect him unless he gets a trash client and turns them into a star?

He doesn’t need to sign and trade to go LA.

I think y’all know if he goes to Houston that means it’s over for GSW  which is why y’all want him in LA so bad

I was speaking about Drew mostly in reference to what his peers in his field say about him, they know better than you and I.

Also, calm down a bit. What's with the rhetorical question? Neither of us have a stake in this Drew Hanlen thing, so lets keep it civil, yeah?

None of his guys have shown significant statistical leaps from season to season after working with him (if I am mistaken, show me how you are able to DIRECTLY and DIFINITIVELY tie working with drew directly to said leaps in stats).

We can't quantify what coaches get credit for what skills players develop, so we're left to go off of his instagram and twitter videos, which are lacking.

He doesn't put guys in real game situations. Too many dribble combos that don't directly translate to game situations.

Tatum is the first guy mentioned in this thread about Hanlen that I will say may be able to credit some of his success to working with Drew. So I'll give you Tatum just for the sake of argument.

I was looking for 5 names though. I refuted the ones you listed already.
