Machado over harper
we do not need another stanton in the lineup that can just hit homers with no one on base

Transitioning from the Marlins to the Yankees, from a full time player to a DH, from 5,000 fans to 40,000 are all tough & he did a fine job IMO.

I don't think it's a coincidence that his best stretch of the season was when he was playing RF every night. It's tough to stay 100% engaged in the game when you're on the bench for most of the night.

I want to keep Stanton, I don't think we needed him but I get why they made the move.

Stanton had a good season, he missed out on some big ABs in the post season but he was still a better hitter than half our lineup. I think next year he will be even better.

Anyone who is "over" Stanton already doesn't deserve him anyway.

Yeah the K's in the postseason were brutal but he a real solid reg. season.

why does stanton not play in the outfield? is his defense that trash? and ya i rather keep him hes pretty good... just wish he can play well when it matters like the postseason... but its only year 1 so he gets a pass for now

Hope Gardner isn’t back, he was solid at times but he’s on the decline. Rather see Stanton out there.

Stanton didn’t have a great season. But no way you can call that a bad season. June / July he was on. Even August was pretty good.

He came in without any ego too. Accept a role. And didn’t complain at all. Took his media lumps and kept moving.

In this at-bat to Holt, Severino throws four fastballs and one changeup. The pre-pitch routines for three of the four fastballs are shown in full on the broadcast. (On the one that is not shown, the camera is settled on Bradley predicting the pitch in the dugout, as seen above.)

On all three fastballs for which we can watch the entire pre-pitch setup, Severino checks the runner on second, then he looks off toward third base as if resting for a moment, then turns his head the rest of the way toward the batter and fires home. That hesitation before turning fully toward home is his tell. Here are the three fastballs in Holt’s at-bat. Notice how Severino always looks to third base. (There is no runner on third base in this situation, but because his body is facing third from the stretch, it is a natural resting point.)

When he throws his changeup, the lone offspeed pitch in the at-bat, he checks the runner at second then whips his head all the way around to home plate in one motion and throws. He never pauses to look toward third.

With the lead runner on second, Severino fell into a pattern. If he was throwing a fastball, he would check the runner on second, then look toward third base before turning and throwing home. On non-fastballs, he would check the runner at second then turn his head 180 degrees and begin his motion home.

I guess best case scenario is if they want to go Machado. They have to say he’s a 3B going forward, but SS in Didi’s absence.

The way it works is:
-take Stanton out of the DH role, put him in LF.
-Manny at SS, Andujar 3B until Didi gets back
-Didi comes back, Machado 3B and Andujar DH with spot starts at 3B & 1B to get Sanchez more DH time.

How much ya pay? I get emails from them about 50% off offers and I always slack on signing up :smh: next time I am going to for sure.

I just did the 7 day trial then when I went to cancel they offered to extend it to 14 days.

They always have 40-50% off deals & from what I've seen, the content is great.
