I think Meyer might be done after this season as tOSU's HC, but I still think he coaches somewhere else after this. 2-3 years from now the Zach Smith stuff is going to be in the rearview, and there will be a school willing to go all in.

Bruh Helton tried to give the team a day off practice this week because he was impressed with how they played against UCLA. The team had to overrule him and say they wanted to practice. **** are you giving them days off for when you’re not gonna make a bowl game and they’ll be off the next 4 months?? the 247 guys posted this morning “the real story is no one knows.” They’re saying the people claiming Swann told Helton he’s safe are in the AD and staff so it’s in their interest to make things seem positive and that the $15M buyout number is coming from his agent Jimmy Sexton.

They said they also spoke to boosters and trustees yesterday who said “he’s already gone.” An insider dude I trust said from what he’s been hearing Swann likes Helton and no one on the board wants to stick their neck out and hire someone before a president is hired.

Look, Swann wants to not have to make a decision before they hire a school pres and likes Helton and is being worked by Sexton but USC fans are flying a fire Helton banner over the coliseum on Saturday (I can confirm). If they get stomped by ND Helton would have lost to all 4 of our rivals, they won’t be bowl eligible, and donors will start pulling money. Retaining him will be a tough sell, but as of now I’d say wait til Sunday morning.

If he wins, he’ll be back. If he loses... he may still be back
