Couple thoughts from this Lakers/Mavs game:

-Luka be playing with the roc and not shooting that Floater when he in the lane off the P&R this game. He gotta get better with his awareness there. But it’ll come with time.

-Tyson Chandler sets the most blatant moving screens. He also sags back in the lane like under the rim. If Carlisle wasn’t washed ...he would have Luka pull that thing and take DJ out the game.

-Josh Hart plays really hard. Rebounds like he’s 10 feet tall. And runs. He low key turned this game around. He also commits offensive fouls on damn near every drive to the basket with his elbows and isn’t really a good defender.

-Dennis Smith Gon have to learn how to do some other stuff. He too talented to be too cool on the court.

Josh Hart is a terrible perimeter defender. He's pretty much a 6'5 PF.

Gerald green can't do anything but jump and shoot 3s. PJ tucker just be out here hacking and shooting corner 3s. both guys had 21. Harden needs to make them better

Does Dallas always play this slow and methodical for stretches? It looks like sometimes, they just be runnin plays to run plays. And it’s always the Wes Matthews/Barnes/DSjr plays that look like “I need a touch”...instead of just flowing.

Roles aren’t established whatsoever as far as the starters

Been that way all season. They’re letting Luka do more but still, not as defined as they should be

Credit to the Lakers, who flat out played harder, but the Mavs looked hungover in the 2nd half; like they didn’t want to win. Terrible turnovers, missed FTs, etc. It was something to behold.
