Just realized....... Jimmer Fridette got work before Melo.

Melo should play in the summer league. His ego won’t allow it though

Yes...because Jimmer is still an elite shooter in a league that values shooting. He’s also not going to complain or start problems if he’s the last dude off the bench.

But once they see he can’t guard a chair again then he’ll be back playing overseas again probably.

The Knicks barely even have a foundation at this point. They've burned relationships with the last two stars they had that could actually BE that foundation. Mecca of mediocrity.

This goes overlooked. It turns out that KP might be a dickhead but with him on the roster their future looks a lot brighter and more attractive to free agents heading into next season. He forced his way out and all the Knicks got back was Wes Matthews. That's a huge loss that is understated and set them back maybe 5 years from whatever they were trying to do

 Bruh everybody around the Mavs at this point loves the guy. Literally haven't had any issues at all. It's early, obviously, but he's been great and done everything they've asked of him from a rehab standpoint.

He might be a dickhead, but is how he handled the New York situation any different than what Kawhi did with San Antonio re: the injury? Than what AD did re: just wanting out and being ready to move on?

They got rid of him in a salary dump under the guise they'd get a max guy this summer. Member we were all saying when the trade went down they gotta know something to make this move now. Even coming off the injury and the friction you don't make that deal without knowing for sure you're getting at least one guy.

The hawks will have two max slots next summer while having Trae Young, Kevin heurter, Cam Reddish, and John Collins playing for pennies.

They may be a playoff team this upcoming season without paying anyone.

My hawks

KP is nowhere near on the level as AD or Kawhi. But I get the narrative in here so I won’t really argue it >D:wink:

Having 2 max slots next summer isn't the best thing. Entire class is ***.

Extremely short sided. It’s never a bad thing to have cap space. There are other things you can do with it besides sign free agents, like use your cap space to gather even more assets and if they roll it over into next next summer, they could strike.

There’s someone out there who’ll get disgruntled and demand a trade. A Star right now is unhappy.

I was moreso referring to the street fighting and rape accusations :lol

Exactly. They traded him for capspace which they are now 'preserving', a 2021 pick which most likely will not be lottery and a top 10 protected pick in 23 which will likely convey in the bottom half of the draft as long as the Mavs have Luka and especially if KP is still there and healthy. Oh and Dennis smith. That might be the most trash return for a franchise player ever

That’s a fact. I actually might’ve forgotten bout the fact that forced trades can very well happen at any time & it’s better to get caught w/ it than w/o it
