was listening to a Pod earlier and a good point was made about Kawhi.... but if he continues to stay heavy on this load management thing, then how does he go to the Clippers w/o a second star?

Most people's counter to this would be Toronto didn't have a second star and they still finished with the best record in the league which is true but

1) Toronto's roster minus Kawhi is much better than the Clippers minus Kawhi (Probably Beverly & another role player, as i believe they would have to renounce some right to sign Kawhi)
2) Toronto is in the East, where sure the top 4-5 in the East closed the gap between the West... but seeds 6-13 were arguably as bad as we've seen in recent years.. meanwhile outside of the Suns out west & maybe the wolves depending on what they do, there's a competitive team to face nightly & a 3-4 game slide could literally be the difference in you being a 3 seed or a 7th.

IDK how Kawhi can expect to do confidently rest games when he's would be expected to carry a huge Burden on Offense nightly.

Clippers did win 48 games without him. I'd think he'd be able to provide a similar boost like he did to Toronto even in a load management scenario. The West is deeper though so will he be able to take 20 games off? I doubt it.

Re-reading the pages when the Porzingis trade happened
Everyone was pretty accurate and Knicks fans were pretty realistic about how it could not go well.

Only thing was a handful of people saying Zion to NY is no doubt happening :lol

Andre Igoudala told the story about how Kobe hung 48 on his head at my job yesterday.

Said he looks at the Synergy of that game often and there were three half court threes in it.

Kobe ran in the locker room looking for him before the game cause of this.

He also said Kobe was tougher to guard than Bron and his toughest cover and the Bronsexuals lost their damn mind.

Say it over and over again when talking the Goats.... Kobe is HIGH in the rankings in respect among his peers

Big BBQ thread!

Bout to have some for lunch.

Any good spots in DTLA? I know there’s a bbq spot at grand central market :emoji_thinking:

no doubt they would obviously improve, but that resting he was doing over the season? kiss that goodbye, that's not a luxury when Lou Will/ Gallo are your next two options. At least in Toronto he doesn't have to carry that load nightly to win games due to the amount of trash at the bottom of the east... In the West not only does he have to play more, but those regular season wins mean more.... which means more intense basketball far before the playoffs.

Now if the clips could get another guy to come along with him that all changes... but until then i think toronto is still the heavy favorite to keep him.

Let's put Isiah Thomas in charge of some of your teams and see how **** goes for yall.
Then lets follow up with a few years of senile Phil Jackson for good measure.
Bad contracts and draft picks for everyone! Let the current FO live.

Is that not what people are making fun of? The historically bad decision making and running of operations by the organization?

Sounding a lot like Lakers fans post-Dr. Buss era :lol

Except you know, they got their superstars.
