People upset with the Clippers for trading Blake? Why? Because it doesn't show loyalty? F that. It was the right move. If you're a player and that trade bugs you that much, I don't want you.

KD left OKC holding their nuts. CP0 forced a trade. F all that.

They act like nba is any different than a regular job.

Say you’re a manager at Office Depot. You walk into a Staples one day and notice the customer service rep there attentive, has a positive attitude, and has an answer to every question you ask. You’re telling me you’re not going to try to make some moves to make sure you have enough hours for this guy when/if he decides move on?

Loyalty is giving your franchise star a bag after he has a devastating career injury and not amnestying him or sending him out to pasture like so many called for. Apparently it's something that does resonate with players.

Remember that time the Lakers dumped Lamar Odom and he never was the same again and even almost died in a Nevada brothel...

I see both sides of the argument. But the clips putting the blake's jersey in the rafters to get him to sign then flipping him was cold :smh:
Yeah, it happens. Like a divorce. You aint getting married hoping to get divorced. Circumstances change. They had to blow it up, unlike most teams, who will keep the roster in place and not go anywhere. Jerry West knew it had to be done.

LeBron makes it a point that he's not from Cleveland

And the point I’m making, is the FANS make a big hubbub about LeBron “leaving home, HOMECOMING, should stay in Cleveland, etc”.

On the flip side, that man has no allegiance to Cleveland. So, what’s wrong with Kyrie calling BK/The Nets home? The Nets and Jason Kidd made the finals TWICE during Kyrie’s youth, what’s hard to understand about him possibly being a lifelong Nets fan?

Had they not relocated, it would’ve been even easier for him to make claim.

The fans threw hissy fits about LeBron departing Cleveland (a place that’s not even his home) by crying “oh, he should’ve stayed home, etc etc”

But now it’s a big deal to certain fans about Kyrie and the Nets?

CP3 wanted to leave. He would have done it as a FA, but he opted in so they could do a sign and trade to help the Clippers. Kind of like what KD did with GSW this Summer. Not the same situation as Blake at all.

And for the record, I don’t have a problem with the Blake trade. He’s really good, but not a Top tier player and he has chronic injury problems. And if they didn’t trade him, they wouldn’t be in a position to even have a chance at someone like Kawhi now.

It just makes me laugh that they did this the MORNING after meeting with Kawhi. Not the day of, not the day before, the day after. Clearly something was said about it in the meeting about loyalty and they reacted to it by guaranteeing an extremely team friendly contract. The timing of it made me laugh, that's all.

So I guess he was coming home to play in Akron
I never heard LeBron claim CLE (specifically) home.

I have always heard him refer to AKRON

Has it been confirmed they actually met last night? I know Perkins said that, but if it really happened I would expect there to be more press coverage about it.
