Super Bowl is like that cuz its a once a year "event", only true die hards really care bout the actual quality of play...This year's SB was like the preseason game, they couldn't even score

After they completed their 2nd chip in a row...KD literally said Steph and them changed his life, and he owes a lot to them. There was a good working relationship there. They were the “super villains” etc etc....until the 24/7 free agency talk started...KD feeding into it with the passive aggressive media **** and pouting, and Dray blowing up. All was good until the murmurs of Kyrie/KD link up in NY started getting crazy steam...and they went on that road trip where that was the question 24/7. KD even commented on how the media didn’t wanna see the warriors together, and he knew why it was. They did damn near everything from a media perspective to drive dissension.
*****s are pointing to a bad joke at a championship parade and a healthy KD playing playoff minutes on a shorter roster as reasons why they didn’t “appreciate him”.

Kd/Kyrie agreed to link up last summer. That’s what Howard Beck reported. The media didn’t plot to pair them together. KD could’ve signed a long term deal to squash any rumor of him leaving. I didn’t know the media made that impossible.

A significant portion of SB viewers barely pay attention to the game. It’s more about the commercials and other fanfare surrounding the game.

Bingo. ROTY and All Star in his first two years....without a jump shot.
He showed great progression from his rookie to sophomore year. And actually had a better year than his counterpart Jayson Tatum. Without a jump shot. So yeah, I agree. Ben will be fine

Simmons absolutely deserves that money. Easy decision.

That's that in between time with certain players when you don't have enough of a sample to really go all in on a max, but you don't want to miss out if he develops.

I'm not disagreeing. But you pay people that money for what they can be in the future, not based solely on what they've done in the past.
This reminds me a lot of what the Eagles did with Wentz. Lock him up before the shenanigans and move on.
