The regular season is boringly long but there’s no going back, I don’t think. The balance of power around the league should help ease the issues of the last few years for sure.

Yea a game where superstars are out because of load management brings in way more money than an empty arena because of a shortened schedule

I don’t know about that. I feel like it usually gets reported when players change agents, at least big name players. And the media certainly has covered when players have left previous representation to join Klutch.

This problem in this instance is that the dude reported wrong information.

Nah this is different. Of course we've seen players switch agents and gets reported but it's never about the agent. It's always about the player, most importantly it's big name players. Morris twin and Nerlens ain't big names. This was all about "Rich gets fired!!". That's the story.

Players are making way too much money for them to shorten the season. Less games = less revenue. With the way the league reset this will actually be a regular season to look forward to with so many new faces in new places.

We got 66 games in the lock out season in 11-12. Besides the 11 summer and dudes going to play in drew league because they we so bored too, the lack of games was awful. Awful awful. It's was the worst. Anychip won that year had a major asterisk...I don't even remember who won tbh.....lol.

Giannis is a big in every sense. And he was played like one in the playoffs.

AD is Giannis with an actual jumper word to the homie BIG LEEMELONE BIG LEEMELONE .
Giannis acts a primary ball handler (and was on a 5 out offense), Anthony Davis to this point, does not. That's not a knock on him either

I'm making the point that it's more difficult for him to take matters into his own hands because of that

And are we really slandering AD for not taking the Pelicans deep into the playoffs lol
Embiid hasn’t made it past the second round either with better teams than AD has had and a weaker conference.
Jokic hasn’t done much in his career yet either.
You saying this like Embiid has been healthy and finished the year healthy his entire career lol

AD made it out of the 1st round once and I’m giving Jrue more credit for that than him

Over the course of the regular season yea, but I think he's going to continue to dominate in the playoffs.

I think he has to become a defensive POY candidate to get the regular season MVP.

What jrue did to Dame that series was Master class in the art of bodying up these lil iso dudes. Jrue ain't bite on a single fake, a single cross over, no layups allowed. You better pull from 40', because you ain't getting nothing inside of 39.

Jrue>>>>>>AD that series.

AD has lost to the Warriors both times though.
My overall point is that dudes in here are only fronting about AD’s ability because he’s on the Lakers now lol

It’s not that’s he on the Lakers. It’s that he playing with Bron who has made each big he’s played with before become a stretch big

he wont be guarded by the teams best defenders anymore
should have an easier time
Has he ever been guarded by the team's best player? Genuine question
Less games could also increase demand, thus increase value.

Even if they shortened it by 5 games, that's 150 games of revenue lost across the league. I don't think it's that simple to recoup

Could absolutely be true, but the MVP is a regular season award. It's a lot easier for perimeter ball handlers to get that type of recognition (MVP consideration) and history has proven this. I'm making the larger point that this shouldn't be held against Davis

Not necessarily. If people don't want to watch pistons play Charlotte, they don't want to watch the pistons play Charlotte. Whether its an 82 game season or a 50 game season. Players bring value and demand. Not necessarily scarcity. Hence why some teams sell out no matter what. Teams themselves only get 41 home games as is. That's scarce. You're only able to go to half of your team's games.

Yeah. I can see that.

Also have to remember that gambling on games will now bring in increased ratings for people keeping track of money. If the league continues to get a cut, that’s more and more revenue there
