We are just talking about PFs though. Karl Malone in the 90s, not Dream, not translating his game in a hypothetical manner.

The original statement basically challenged the idea of him being regarded as the best PF of all time.

If not him, then who.

If you are campaigning Barkley, what would be your objective argument that favors Barkley over Karl Malone?

Barkley had the higher ceiling, just like cwebb had a higher ceiling as far as PFs go.. and Hakeem was playing PF in the 80s when rockets still had Sampson, I mean dude was only like 6’9

Barkley with what we know now about diet and all would be absurd.. Kareem with his versatility.. Rodman with his versatility.. mchale with better tech in his shoes, hell Walton with better tech in his shoes

Objectively speaking, what did Barkley DO that would make him a better PF than Malone?

Why are we talking about potential for two retired players?

If you LIKED Barkley more cool, say that

Diet man?

93 nba season and the 92 olympics

They are athletes, diet kinda matters

But you are using diet and IF Barkley had access to modern medicine to support your claim of him being a greater career PF than Malone.

You don't see the fault in that appraoch?

The 93 Season and the Dream Team.

So everything else we can assume Malone excelled in, correct ..?

As I said, I value Stockton and slaon more than others

I also mentioned shoes for other guys

Folks just genuinely don’t know his name

I do know his name and still mess it up sometimes both verbally and in writing. It’s just a matter of mixing two letters up and Byron is a more common name (spelling-wise). Sorry, Bryon.

Steve Kerr quote taking outta context. I don’t wholly agree with him, because the Front Office will do you cruddy, and they’ll say it’s “just business”....

But AD essentially tanked a season trying to get traded with 2 years left on his deal...then shut himself down when he was mostly healthy.
100% agree. And we've seen Kawhi, AD, and Kyrie alone force trades from smaller markets with 2 years left on their deals in the last 3 years alone. Various reasons, but don't think that's great for the game. Kyrie threatened knee surgery as well.

AD doesnt get enough heat for saying “**** this team” mid season and creating a situation that essentially forced pelicans to rest him and tank. I’m all about player mobility and being able to go anywhere they choose during FA, but pouting with time left on your contract is the real “snake” ****.

Both situations sound like business to me.

Whats the difference between Blake being recruited by LAC, signing that huge deal then being traded to the Pistons vs. what AD did?

You’re saying AD “essentially tanked” a season, I’d say Pelicans ownership essentially tanked several years of his career surrounding him with mostly garbage.

It’s his last chance here but at the same time I don’t know how he gets a chance to show what he can do in Milwaukee.
He plays OK defense and has the ability to stretch the floor (shot like trash last year but was 36% from 3 the year before). Should be able to pair somewhat decently in lineups with Giannis and the twins.
