He plays OK defense and has the ability to stretch the floor (shot like trash last year but was 36% from 3 the year before). Should be able to pair somewhat decently in lineups with Giannis and the twins.

I think he’s a shooter than can’t shoot. But we’ll definitely see this year if he cracks the rotation.

I guess his agent is banking on him getting a lot of garbage time minutes with Milwaukee smacking most of the east

There would be no Stockton or Sloan to like if it weren't for Malone .
Malone didn't make Stockton. We'd still know plenty about Stockton if he played on another team. Dude is up there in all-time steals and assists. He'd have gotten someone else a ton of points with his passes.

Jeanie was really out there paying the media all year :{

Agent might think putting him in a winning situation could be good for him as well as far as his next contract (if there is one) goes.

If he signs with another trash team after being with trash PHX and doesn't show much there, he's definitely out of the league.

Both situations sound like business to me.

Whats the difference between Blake being recruited by LAC, signing that huge deal then being traded to the Pistons vs. what AD did?

You’re saying AD “essentially tanked” a season, I’d say Pelicans ownership essentially tanked several years of his career surrounding him with mostly garbage.

They won 50 games...a playoff series and took a game from GSW...before essentially losing to the champs the season before. Got off to a great start last season...then got hit with injuries, a mean losing streak and the season crumbled.

I’m not saying the Front Office is blameless or not an entity that historically are cut throat....but Steve has a point and his words have been taken out of context....to make it seem like sour grapes because he “doesn’t have 5 all stars” and “finally has to coach”.

Karl Malone is a douche but he was definitely a top 2 all time power forward.

not better than timmy or garnett

he has longevity over barkley, but i'd argue the highs werent as high.. and i'd argue dirk over him.. and i'd probably want mchale over him too

That trash stimulus package in NY kept Hezonja in the league. I would have gone to the wizards.

Steve Kerr quote taking outta context. I don’t wholly agree with him, because the Front Office will do you cruddy, and they’ll say it’s “just business”....

But AD essentially tanked a season trying to get traded with 2 years left on his deal...then shut himself down when he was mostly healthy.

It's not taking outta context. You can hear the whole statement.

Teams have tanked seasons to have a better future if you wanna go there. No matter how you cut it, these owner are flat out upset they players have the power.

Dray was recruiting KD all that season while he was "under contract" with OKC. Does Steve Kerr think that was bad the leauge? :lol

"Malone may have outscored Barkley by 13,171 points (and Barkley even trails Malone in points per game), but according to more advanced metrics, there’s little doubt that Barkley was the better player. Over a common rangeof ages (22-36), Barkley was worth about 2.1 more points per 100 possessions to his team’s efficiency differential than Malone (in the estimation of Box Plus/Minus) and produced about 10 more wins of Value Over Replacement Player (VORP). For BPM nonbelievers, Barkley also leads in Player Efficiency Rating (PER) and Win Shares per 48 minutes."

Not trying to single you out, but why do so many ppl call him BYRON RUSSELL?

His name is BRYON.
lmaooo. i think after the last shot in 98, a commentator blurted out byron by mistake, and the running joke was "Mike made him change his own name' and it was funny, and just stuck. i even thought about typing bryon as i typed that comment last night and was like..'nahhhh, sorry byron.'

Barkley had the higher ceiling, just like cwebb had a higher ceiling as far as PFs go.. and Hakeem was playing PF in the 80s when rockets still had Sampson, I mean dude was only like 6’9

Barkley with what we know now about diet and all would be absurd.. Kareem with his versatility.. Rodman with his versatility.. mchale with better tech in his shoes, hell Walton with better tech in his shoes

Malone was built like thanos, and that was with old school medicine and diet. let him get on todays tech and food plans, he'd be Ronnie Coleman out there.

You’re leaving out that that was their best season in AD’s 6 years there to that point.

6 years of building and all we have to show for it is one season with 50 Ws & a 2nd round appearance? Our 2 best young players outside of our Star is Jrue Holiday & Nikola Mirotic? Are we getting any elite free agents over those large market teams? Probably not so who are my trade chips? Jrue, Nikola, and some late firsts? :lol

AD looked at that situation and wanted out, no different from these teams who sign guys, get buyers remorse and ship them out with several years left.

Kerr is completely off-base.

90s was things started to change really with those dudes and they started to pay attention to that stuff.. but malone was a country dude and like jordan seemed to be kinda ahead of the curve with staying in shape

but aint no surprise barkley had the monster season he had after the olympics and he was working out regularly that summer and not just chilling and/or partying.. jordan just seemingly could do both

There's no way Paul George's and Kawhii's favorite team growing up was the Clippers. They sucked when they were kids.
I mean who did they look up to? Darius Miles, Elton Brand and Q Rich? Stahp

I can believe Kawhi saying the Lakers weren't his favorite team. He did say Iverson was his mans but aint no way you grow up idolizing Kobe and not be a Lakers fan. Aint buying it.

PG was hurt his favorite team didn't feel they had to give up everybody for him and it was a wrap.
