Lake's name pops up at USC every once in a while but i dont believe this is true. He did pass up on some HC gigs and now people are understanding why he did.

Wanted to talk to him as a DC replacement for Clancy or DC to come in with the new coach since he knows the west coast. There has been some backchanneling there.
No chance as HC.
He was always HC in waiting at Washington. They had the other co-DC step back and gave him the title promotion for that purpose or he would have jumped within the past 1-2 years.
