Supposedly they have more talent than Miami
Talent only gets you so far. Still have to play the games.

Lol AD and Bron should’ve played less last night... Vogel pulled them with 1:23 to play, really was no reason for them to be out thereLakers won in a blowout . You want him to play 40 mins just cause?

The non-basketball crappiness of 2020 - particularly the Kobe tragedy - aside, things have pretty much gone just as the Lakers needed them to for them to have a high level of success this season:
Both Bron and AD mostly healthy throughout;
No chemistry issues or drama;
Vogel’s doing a great job;
Collectively, the role players have done what they needed to or even, arguably, overachieved.
Even with the season getting interrupted, 35 year old LeBron having 4 months off prior to the playoffs starting right after probably wasn’t the worst thing.
They’re making the most of all of it.
Game 2 of that Mav series still haunts Lebron.Lol AD and Bron should’ve played less last night... Vogel pulled them with 1:23 to play, really was no reason for them to be out there
Your team is about to win the NBA Championship. How are you some how sounding salty? Fun guy.
The team I root for is irrelevant, unless we're in the offsseason thread. YOU are the one that keeps mentioning them
Wanna bet $1K that the Lakers beat the Celtics in the Finals next year?
Hence "LA." The LA Lakers are onto 12.
I don't know about the psyche stuff. Two basketball teams 3000 miles apart that I'm not on don't exactly affect me beyond watching TV
I'm actually happy for the Lakers, especially as it pertains to the Kobe angle. And Rondo/AB.
Stat padding I guess?This is also true, but somebody was trying to get their Brodir on. Bron played 11 minutes in the 4th quarter of an annihilation. Didn't make any sense why AD came back in either.
There’s a small (but vocal) continent if Lakers fans for whom the Celtics and Clippers gaining seems just as important as the Lakers being good. Beyond just rooting against a “rival”; like really wishing ill on them.
I’ve always found it strange, but this year in particular, I’ve decided I need to not care. Whatever gets them through the day, I guess.

Funny considering the bolded is LITERALLY the basis for the foundation of the Losers Club a.k.a. ALA. They've always been more invested in seeing the Lakers suffer and flounder much more so than any of their teams (multiple teams in many of the cases) success. They've gotten off on it for too long, we just in the midst of returning that energy back tenfold. Make no mistake we gone party like it's 2010, or 2000, or 1980 for some of the guys on here.
Yes, because franchises don't move all the time
Even though the Celtics have largely been irrelevant during most of our lifetimes, they are our chief rival historically basking in their misery is not something that's beyond the pale.

The Dippers entire organization this year in particular were obsessed with the Lakers and taking shots every chance they got. And for them to collapse in the embarrassing fashion they did after popping all that big ****, you damn right we gone return the energy.
As for y'all in particular (ALA) you've had your laughs, circle jerks and fun at our expense for a while now and thought you weren't going to get that smoke returned? Nah, you brought it on yourselves.
Because a lot of Americans are lonely so the only real sense of community they have in their lives so they take results and rivalries personally.I've peeped
It's weird to me, because at the end of the day we're all only fans. The accolades don't belong to us.
I noticed it back in the early 2000's with the Red Sox and Yankees. Like FANS really dislike one another beyond just jokes.
It's a microcosm of how American human relationships are past and present. The division is sad.
"Basking in the misery" of someone else is such a weird human concept.
Seems like It's largely an American or Western European phenomenon and transcends sports.
Crabs in a bucket and it's more relevant than ever.
I could see how you would feel that way, but I’d argue that ALA was formed in reaction to the kind of Lakers fan attitude I‘m referring to my previous post and seems to me to be more about jokes than anything else.
