Damn. Fake news newbs24 newbs24 ?
IDK… Sam has connections but has also been caught many times trying to cover for his buddies… He and Gattis were tight… The timing of Worthy dumping Michigan, Gattis being pulled from the recruiting trail and Gattis getting a divorce all seem to be real close from what I’ve heard… But lots of fake news everywhere lately

Damn I’m trying to remember who our QB was at the time he would’ve been there. Gotta be Pryor right?

I mean that was the game y’all cheated and beat us by 3 and I legit threw my buckeye jersey in the trash :{

Y’all took Todd Boeckman in 03, so I don’t think there was room for Sanchez in that QB room.

Didn’t Boeckman get a year after Troy Smith?

Nah Sanchez washed y’all by like 30. Barkley (fairly) beat you by one score.

That was the ‘08 team that might quietly have been the best ever.

This is bad even for you bruh
I'm not talking about best college football team ever. I'm saying that '08 team was Pete Carroll's best team. They had that awful loss vs Oregon State but look at the rest of their record. They held 2/3 of their schedule to 0-7 points. Their Rose Bowl vs. an 11-1 Penn State was 31-7 at halftime. They had 5 players go first 2 rounds in that draft. 11 total in the 2009 draft. How many off that roster, 20+?

I know you *** holes are bored and love to jump at nonsense but I know you understand what I was saying.

I don't think that USC team was an all-time great team, but I certainly think they could have won the national championship that season. It's not like that Florida team or that Oklahoma team are all-time great teams. Either. Florida lost to a pretty bad Ole Miss team in the regular season before getting their act together.

So many teams like this in the BCS era who never got a shot because they would have been the number three seed. 2007, Georgia, 2004 Auburn, are other teams that come to mind

Whoa whoa “pretty bad Ole Miss team” is a stretch. We went 9-4 and won the Cotton Bowl lol. 4 losses by a total of 19 points.

The argument for that USC team being the greatest Pete had:

1. statistically they’re probably the best defense in college football history. They gave up 93 total points in the regular season. In their wins, they beat opponents by a margin of 429 to 66.

“Their 3.4 yards-per-play average is miles ahead of the field. To put this figure into perspective: The 1997 Michigan defense, the Charles Woodson group generally regarded as the most dominating defense of recent years, allowed 3.7 yards per play. And that predated the spread of the spread offense.”

They gave up 2 passing TDs in the Oregon State game on September 25. They didn’t give up another passing TD until November 15 against Stanford and that came against SC’s 3rd string and with 0:00 on the clock in what was a 30 point blowout at that point (revenge for the 2007 upset.) I think they gave up 4 passing TDs in the entire regular season. The 4th coming in the final game of the season, again in garbage time.

2. The media at the time in 2008 was literally calling USC the best team in the country, so it’s not like 08 was some random scrub squad:

3. And for the record while it was an embarrassing loss, that Oregon State team finished 9-4 and also beat #18 Pittsburgh. So **** off with “best at losing to Oregon state” when you were cheering for a TAm team that played in what bowl that year? tmay407 tmay407

But I get it. **** post away and hope MVP MVP or Bobby Layne Bobby Layne like it for validation.

You really are a sensitive one :lol

For the record:
1. A&M didn’t even play in a bowl game that year.
2. The only person that liked my post “for validation” is the guy you’re constantly talking about having conversations with outside of the board, you know, for “validation” ( dacomeup dacomeup )

Off-season got everybody wylin out and popping off.

Everybody so mad. aepps20 aepps20 its time to put these silly libs in their place and get this thread some LAW AND ORDER.
