Monken's doing the right thing.

Easier to become a P5 college HC being a OC for a Top 5 team vs been a OC or passing game coordinator for a middling NFL team.

Monken not gunning for a NFL job IMO. He's 56, had his NFL stint & probably realizes that door is only opening for younger guys.

Great insight from Nick Saban here. Very surprised that he so openly called out his young receivers for pouting and being unprepared. We all saw the same game so we know that this is the case, but I'm surprised he would say this on camera We all saw the same game so we know that this is the case, but I'm surprised he would say this on camera

He's right tho, just look at how Tua and Devonte were ready for the moment in a similar situation. At Bama of all places they should know the deal.

Call them out and then recruit over them . I definitely respect Saban.

I've never understood the concept of " recruiting over" a player. Good players cannot be recruited over. Elite programs are always going to bring in the best talent at every position. Ohio State didn't pass on JSN because they were afraid of "recruiting over" Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. In 2017 Alabama got Ruggs, Smith and Jeudy and went afterWaddle in 2018. Saban is never worried about recruiting over players.

Georgia has Darnell, Washington and Brock Bowers, but that didn't stop them from bringing in one of the best, TE recruits in the nation in Oscar Delp. Is Georgia expected to pass on elite prospects for fear of " recruiting over" their other guys?

He directly brought in Jermaine Burton - if you don’t understand how that’s recruiting over those guys then I don’t know what to tell you. Did you want UGA to go after Caleb Williams? No need to be intentionally obtuse here. I’m not speaking about general processes for talent acquisition, but there are definitely obvious scenarios that you can point to as recruiting over kids.

Right? You think Saban went out and got Jameson Williams last year, then Eli Ricks and Jermaine Burton this year because he loved what he’s seen from the guys on campus? I know some guys take time to develop, but you find an immediate replacement if they aren’t ready on your timetable.

Probably staged photo but damn Harrison Jr got up there

I don’t think tOSU has had a big physical receiver since Michael Thomas a few years ago
