There are a lot of people who think Schiano may be content just getting biannual pay raises from Rutgers and getting them into the top 25 like he had them in the 2000s now that their admin has acquiesced to his demands
I don’t think Schiano is going anywhere. He has it made in terms of pressure and expectations and he’s in his home state.

Ohio State senior linebacker K'Vaughan Pope has been dismissed from the team following a highly publicized incident on Saturday in which he was escorted off the field during the Buckeyes' win against Akron, according to a statement from coach Ryan Day on Sunday.

"K'Vaughan will continue to have the use of programs that benefit our student-athletes, such as our Student-Athlete Support Services Office, and we will support him with his progress toward graduation," Day stated in the news release. "He will remain on scholarship through the duration of this semester."

According to Lettermen Row, Pope tried to enter the game in the second quarter but was waved off by linebacker Teradja Mitchell. Pope walked toward the locker room, but an Ohio State staffer brought him back to the sideline.

According to the report, Pope then threw his gloves into the stands and attempted to take off his jersey on the sideline. A few Ohio State coaches had conversations with him before he was escorted by a staffer into the locker room.

In a since-deleted tweet, Pope wrote "f--- Ohio State" while the game was still happening. He also tweeted "good lucc to my teammates" and left that tweet on his feed.

On Sunday, Pope tweeted an apology.

"Last night I let my emotions get the best of me. For that I want to apologize to my teammates, coaches and Buckeye Nation," he wrote. "I made a mistake and know that I need to be better and do better. I'm going to take this time to reflect and work on my mental well-being."

Pope has played in 33 career games and has three tackles this season. He is the second linebacker to leave the program in the past week. Dallas Gantentered the transfer portal Wednesday after seeing a minimal amount of playing time this season.

When do we revisit the TJ Finley Vs. Bo Nix and Max Johnson debate?
Can’t remember who I was having it with. dacomeup dacomeup and who else?

I’m happy to revisit TJ Finley when it’s proven out that he doesn’t suck.

Until then Auburn’s shuffling old crummy deck chairs.

Watching the A&M game back this morning while begging for contracts to come back at work...

It's borderline hilarious how bad Zach Calzada actually is. He's the worst quarterback to start a football game at A&M in 20+ years at least. Just bad bad. He's terrified.

Arkansas was getting whatever they wanted for about a quarter and 4 minutes, then A&M's defense finally settled in and just didn't give up much the rest of the way. That's a trend that's a little concerning. Once Elko settles into the flow of a game, they're a nightmare of a unit to move the ball on. But getting to that point isn't always easy.

The long TD pass to Burks he just looks like a veteran NFL receiver already... No separation early and Myles Jones is stride for stride til Burks slows his route just enough to get a subtle push off and hit the boosters to create about two yards of separation... Master class. It should've been OPI, but it's the subtle type of **** that never gets called. He's a stud. Body control and just feel for being where he's supposed to be made a lot of things easier for KJ Jefferson.

Initially thought A&M's tackles killed them - but watching back, the guards were the biggest issue. Particularly on the left side where Tre Williams just caved them in at times. Lots of snaps where LG is just standing looking around and blocking nobody in 5-on-3 situations.

Jimbo's play calling was horrendous... You're down to a backup quarterback. Your offensive line is insanely young but largely succeeds when they can get a hat on a hat. You're facing 5-man boxes at most all day long and you just never really hammer the football. You can't have Calzada throwing 110 passes in basically two and a half games. Just can't.

Career on the line and this is the first thing he wants to talk about in a press conference . Team is some App State dropped passes away from being 1-3. 🤡

Thread from Bear in response too

All of this is getting the boosters boostin’, so it’s doing its job

ThaxbyChamblis ThaxbyChamblis is there any chance Jimbo gets rid of Craig? Or is that his boy for life?

I think that he would can him if he thought he could find a suitable replacement. That is his boy though and at FSU he was loyal to coaches that some were surprised stuck around for as long as they did

Always have to remember that Jimbo is a QB at his core. He did the same things at FSU at times. Honestly my man needs to just give up play calling duties, even if its someone else calling 'his' offense. (and with as expansive as his playbook is, there are many a coordinator out there who could run whatever he wanted). But at this point there is nothing that can be done to change his mind aside from him making that decision, especially with that contract. I think he would KILL as a more hands off type of coach

  That’s a A&M farming ground. Good luck!

Oh yeah, funny story. The team I went to watch are called the 'Cheifs' and their entrance music is the Seminole Warchant

And I was correct that it would be the best football that I would see that day because they smoked the team by 42 and they ended it early
