They were overwhelming favorites because we didn't know Giannis's status going into the series. We didn't know if he would play at all or be hobbled. Most didn't imagine he would play and be near 100%.
Crazy that the Suns entire run was based on injuries to their opponents and the moment they played a team that was healthy they get washed.

Circlejerking the Finals winners always makes people irrational. It’s quite a strange phenomenon but seems to happen every year lol.
I guarantee you a lot of these folks would turn right around and slander Giannis next year if the Bucks get bounced in the 2nd round next year like the Sixers did this year lol

Let's keep it real though... if the defending champs get bounced in the 2nd round, they likely would deserve the slander.
Same way Giannis "earned" his slander when the Bucks as the #1 seed kept getting bounced early.

Yea, Bucks were blessed by the injury Gods in rd1 too. No way they beat a healthy Brooklyn because they hadn't gotten it all together at that point.
