They want Texas/Dallas and they’re not gonna get UT or TAMU.

Phil Knight been begging though. He’s looking desperate.
It feels like there’s enough Midwest transplants in DFW they don’t need to give TCU a cut of their pie to have a foot in Texas.

Still wild to me this isn’t the direction Texas was pushing from the get go, but I would guess it was because the Big Ten felt too high-brow academically to take Oklahoma.

The UC Regents hearing/meeting that was streamed last week revealed that USC equals 30% of the total Pac 12 revenue. Cal keeps alleging that UCLA blindsiding them is financially devastating but the cost of UCLA leaving is about $2M/year to Cal, so the real loss to them is USC.

It's made clear that this whole uproar over UCLA leaving to the B1G is an effort by Cal to

1. latch on and try to force UCLA/the B1G to bring them along, or

2. try to derail UCLA's move and hope that USC will say, well we're not gonna head to the B1G without UCLA and be the only west coast team.

The hearing kinda revealed that a lot of the Regents people have absolutely no idea how college athletics works and has reaffirmed to the other B1G schools to keep them and Cal far away.

The thought from a Cal perspective of why even bring up USC - they can do whatever they want as a private institution. Go after your brethren.

Wont matter in the end.

Money. USC = 30% of their league's total revenue.

That revelation makes every other school in the PAC voting against giving USC and UCLA an increased revenue share, contributing to those schools looking for a way out, all the more funny.

Mmmhm they all want out

Yeah can't see a non champ B1G team getting in, even if 11-1.

"USC isn't following up with its NIL promises. Addison is angry and looking to get out."
