It's a combination of wanting to maintain existing rivalries and also spreading out the difficult opponents.

Tennessee's biggest three rivals are Georgia, Alabama and Florida but it would be unfair to have them play those teams every year while other teams would get easier opponents like Vanderbilt, Missouri and Arkansas.

Auburn is Merican Tuff so I expect them to dominate that pod for years to come. I say this as a huge fan of every other team in that pod.

It's too good of a series that's resulted in too many embarrassments for UF in the past decade. I'm cool on anymore shoes or trick plays or game winning (losing) field goals. Even a bad LSU team has our number.

Yea, but that doesn’t mean that it’s true. I’ll stop posting in this thread forever if Coley is calling plays for Miami next year. His absolute best case is getting a Co-OC title where he’s heavily involved with gameplanning because he’s shown to be good at that. And Coley is literally from Miami — Kanell and Bud ain’t the only people with ties to Coley

+1 for if Applewhite is hired as OC . Miami has the WORST media in sports. It’s pretty impressive tbh. Major Applewhite is not calling plays at Miami next year. Sounds like we’ll find out who it is on Monday though.
