the tag feels like a really high quality soft leather and the rest of the tounge feels a little flimsy because it is so thin.

Yes it is. The Nouveau 1s are great quality, just too flimsy.

That was my one issue with them, didn't really like the flimsy tongue. Quality is real nice in person though.
