I see #glittergate is in full swing now...told yall months ago and ppl tried 2 clap at me on some BS...this is gonna ruin alotta pairs that collectors have stock piled when they bust em out years from now..at 1st it shines then it creates a white patch that won't come off...beware...be brave...determined

I remember months ago when a few people mentioned it and it was shrugged off. It's already happening to my breds that I wore 1 time. Wiped it off, was back within a week. I first noticed it about a year ago on a pair of black suede SB highs from 05 and then it started on 1s within the last year or so it seems.

Ontario mills Ca. Wish they had a size 9.
Was gonna post the same thing.  I can't believe I finally found these while vacationing in Orlando.  Found these at their outlets for 79.99.

Can someone tell me why the HELL there is glitter all over my OG shattered backboards? I bought them brand new when they came out, and immediately switched the paper to acid free tissue like always.

Finally a nice day in Chicago over the weekend, and I pull them out to wear, and it looks like Peter Pan has been wearing them.

What am supposed to do with these? Can I get rid of it somehow? What the hell is it from?
Never been worn, haven't even seen light in 2 years!

Anyone else have this problem?

Shouldn't of kept them DS for so long.

where's the glitter coming from? Paper in the box? My pair sits in a shoe box from the container store so i'm wondering if thats why i'm not seeing any glitter.

Can someone post a pic of this glitter? I've seen so many people mention it and I've never seen it on my 3 pairs of 1s.

It happens even with heavily worn pairs. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of a mold, where them scientists at [emoji]129300[/emoji]

It's def something to do with science...if you shine a light on it you can see a rainbow color to it...it's not just salt white sparkles

More than likely has to deal with at the factory how the leather was stored. Either the sheets of leather are currently in a humid environment and not climate cooled. Strange thing is its the black panels, I'm not near a UV lamp but check on the white panels under a blacklight it could be on there also.
