They have spoken.... the game officially has changed.
I wonder if this effects the bay? If not it's going to really cripple that business imo.

"Sales tax will apply to all purchases for applicable states, even for current bids that are live and hit later"

whoa whoa whoa time to check

Read that on the site. That said it was in affect as of 1/3/ 2018. Last year.
I haven’t been taxed on any purchases (most recent last week).

StockX is about to have to include free shipping to offset this.
I think thats their only real play, otherwise they're gonna lose a ton of business.

are they going to send an email out? like immediately?

i'd be tight if i had a high bid up and they charged tax all of a sudden

Thank god NJ doesnt charge tax on shoes, but then again, i never pay resale :D
yet. well maybe, not sure how yall rocking out there. but here in ny the lawmakers haven't decided on if they want to collect yet. looks like im gonna be back in the facebook group meeting resellers when i miss something :smh:

This only applies to you if your state has already passed a law to begin taxing out of state e-commerce sales by companies without any presence in the state (which was recently approved by the Supreme Court after a state complained that they’ve lost tax revenue because their local mom and pop stores can’t compete with Amazon prices and are selling less or have gone out of business...).
