My ‘85s didn’t look like this

I would’ve skipped getting them if so.

However, the ‘85 High Retro isn’t even as good as this.

85 Neutral Grey lows came in today.

Side by side with all my other NG. There’s more ankle padding than the NG lows from 2021. Fit is slightly more snug too. However I noticed the leather is softer on the 85 NG lows than on the 85 NG highs. Either way these will be heavy in my rotation as I already wear my other NG lows everyday for work.

It's not about them flattening. It's that there's way too much toe rand and not enough toe box.

Just the look of the 85 low is better. If I had to pick a shoe from those 3 it’s pretty clear which one I’m going with

85's has a different construction altogether - beyond the shape ect

- its board lasted like AJ6
- tongue material is canvas and not nylon

Would anyone offer feedback to on-foot feel relative to these 2 changes?

Def gonna iron down the toe when these hit stores. All they needed to do was copy the ‘15 toe. All good, they did enough to get me to cop.
