Official AUTHENTIC NBA JERSEY Post - Bringin Back the JERSEY ERA... (Info/Guide = Page 1)

New pick ups. Time to chill out for awhile now. Ironically not even a Jimmy butler fan, the bulls fell into my lap and I’m a sucker for rev30’s and I just really like the Miami vice jerseys, regret not buying the black Wade back in the day so I figured why not.

also, after 3 different tries, I think this black band material and size is the closest to on court stripes imo. I have 30 yards of it so if anybody wants some, shoot me a dm and I’ll send you some.

(black band not sewn on yet)

Went through some old jerseys that don’t fit. Pinstripe is NWT. Can’t find any comps on them even for completed listings.

I wouldn't try to strip the Shaq HWC. That materials snags crazy easy. Also, even if you strip it clean, clean the glue will be very risky itself.

I actually had one of those also and decide to just sell it rather than attempt to re-attribute it.

Thanks for the heads up!

are y'all with the memorial bands and patches buying from sofasurfer?

Gotta love eBay listing with the wrong descriptions  seller listed it as a swingman but it really is an authentic. Another bucket list jersey acquired. Might have to tailor it down to a 52 but i might keep it the way it is :nthat:

How would one go about resizing it smaller without tampering the side panel?

Yeah I don’t think it’s possible if you’re taking in the width. I think my tailor removes the side panels, takes in the jersey from both sides and front and back and re-attaches the panels (while shortening).

If your tailor is good, they can re-attach the panel at the original arm pit collar rather than making two new cuts where the panel meets the body of the jersey at the front and back. At least the Wizards only has one panel to deal with.

I did this to my size 56 T-Mac below. The person I went to unfortunately mixed up the jock tag placements and I don’t think they cut the length at the bottom evenly, but I guess it’s still better than paying like $400-600 for a 44/48 or even a 52 right?

On a separate note, not sure when and why prices for retail authentics or even just basketball jerseys in general have gone through the roof. Seems like it gets progressively worse every year... Price-gouging resellers have always been around so I guess I have to blame hipsters who’ve made vintage cool in the last 5 years or so.

Game worn stuff has really gone insane. You use to be able to even get the average player's jersey for a decent amount but not anymore
