You probably said it and I missed it. Can you trade on cryptowatch . I see it says log in to trade , but I don't want to make an account if I don't need to .

Edit : It's $15/mo not bad half the price of Coinigy . I will probably sign up .

i didnt sign up or trade on cryptowatch so im not familiar with how they do it.  i just use the site for the charts and helps me decide when to enter and exit. im sure there are better other sites but im just lazy to look for them

So many coins out there.

If you were to buy a lesser known coin hoping for it to shoot up, which would you decide on? Or what type of research are y'all doing?

As of now I got into ripple and STR when it was a bit lower.

400

That guys looking pretty smart right now

i never go by POLOS charts. they dont even have 1 minuite candles. i always have another chart up on a diff site on my ipad when im trading
What site do you use for charts? Hard to find good candlestick charts for crypto.
I posted a video a page back the kid demonstrates using 1 minute candles on Tradingview.com and setting alerts for dips and rips.

1 minute candles definitely changed everything!

Didn't realize tradingview added bitcoin charts. That's clutch.

I don't get how this ICO stuff works and what not

Care to explain?
@Zyzz

it is a way to secure and get a token prior to its release on an exchange.  You will get an allotted amount of tokens per price of bitcoin/eth you put in.  An example would be ETHEREUM ICO in 2015.

per 1 bitcoin (which at that time was around $235), you received 1200 ETHS.  You do the math on that now

I myself have participated in 2 ICOs (lisk, waves) and by taking those risks, I was able to accumulate more of those coins than versus buying them on an exchange.

lisk - 1btc: 7900 lisk

waves - 1btc: 5500 lisk

With ICO you're almost buying into a startup company and playing as a VC (venture capitalist)

The idea behind it is cool, but what if someones using your hard drives to store illegal information or even worst some kiddy porn, who is held responsible in the legal war.

Agreed. The ICO is cool and getting it early sounds great but like with any start up, will it work? Any other research you've done on STORJ? I can see this becoming a quick bait and switch for companies to just gather funding with no real long term idea.

its decentralized storage, and using encrypted/secure algorithms which makes it impossible to see the contents...per their FAQ:
Can I put conditions on the purpose which my space I offer for rent can be used for (i.e., to use for supporting specific Apps that might run on top of Storj later on, like a music or video player etc)?
Because Storj provides secure zero-knowledge encrypted storage, it's almost impossible to know what type of data is being stored. However third-party service providers, developers, and apps wishing to utilize the Storj network can restrict the types of files and uploads that maybe stored on the network through their front-end.

understood. it's not for everyone, nor does this concept sound ideal for many peeps....NOW.  But the idea of blockchain is to decentralize EVERYTHING.  The future will not be where data is hosted in a central (cloud) place.  Of course the idea sounds crazy, but that is what disruptors do.  Just think of how crazy bitcoin was when it came out.  Oohh, its going to be a great tool for guns, drugs, kiddie pron, etc.  But we've come along way haven't we?

anyways, the ico is there and has 30days left...but as you can see over HALF has already been funded in 1hr.  soo

Sounds interesting. Would they be competing with Siacoin?

http://sia.tech/
yes.  and if you do the numbers.....cloud storage is only going up:  https://www.geekwire.com/2017/aws-maintains-sizable-lead-as-public-cloud-market-grow-42-in-q1/

if say a decentralized option competed with one of the big 4 above....say its even just 1% of that market space, it will be a 100million dollar company.

also note - Amazon CEO recently stated that he believes in the next 5yrs, their AWS service (cloud and computing) will be worth more than there RETAIL.  Think about that.

I think thats what the joke was about last page, 1k on ETH is not a Great move.
indeed, yes you could've dropped 1k eth....but we ALL knew it was gonna hit $100 right? Or better yet we ALL KNEW it was gonna hit $115+

keep it movin brodeee....you got this!!!

ETH still has room to grow which has been talked about for quite awhile. I don't see how buying up 10 or so coins now is a bad move

If you're trying to make a quick buck? No but long term? I don't see the issue unless there's something I don't know about

agree. long term, i see it going $200-300+....but in crypto, if it hits that level....who knows where it will stop.  #wildwildwest

STORJ ICO going on now:

https://storj.io/tokensale

Decentralized storage.  You can get paid for "leasing" Hard Drives you have at home!

Was trying to sign up with some bitcoin but they need an ether address. As of now I use the Jaxx wallet and hey don't have it listed. Of the options which do y'all use? So many wallets out lol.

The following wallets are known to be compatible with Ethereum tokens (ERC-20 standard):

MyEtherWallet (no download needed)
MetaMask (Firefox and Chrome browser addon)
Mist (Desktop)
Parity (Desktop)
imToken (iPhone)
imToken (Android)
