SALT looks like a great concept. I can see that blowing up.

A question...

Has anybody had an ICO they invested in totally bomb to the point where they didn't recoup their investment??

I know it's good to hear all the success stories but i think it would be refreshing to hear about any significant L's people have taken. Especially for all the new folks getting into this (like myself...)

Yessir.. i currently have 2 icos that are not up to ico price but idgaf since i know its 2-3yr hold:

- primalbase token PBT (shared workspace)
- unikoin gold UKG (esports. Mark Cuban and Ashton backed investment)

Swift Blockchain Success Sets Stage for Sibos

"
Once considered perhaps the largest middleman at risk of being disrupted by blockchain, Swift took a notable step today toward becoming a disruptor.

Revealed on the eve of its largest annual event, Sibos, the inter-bank platform, along with six banks including BNP Paribas, BNY Mellon and Wells Fargo, has deemed its flagship blockchain trial a success from both a technical and business perspective. First announced in January, the proof-of-concept tested whether moving funds stored in nostro-vostro accounts for international transactions to a blockchain could free up those funds to further investment"

Looks like the competition is set for XRP. Old guard not trying to get rolled over.

u missing out on alot of gains bro
I know. I honestly just don’t feel comfortable with the risk. I try not to put too much money on the line but one day I’m sure I’ll find something that blows my mind and throw down on it.

Can you elaborate more on icon? Curious to see your thoughts on it.

Very interesting. Sucks it’s not listed on any real exchanges yet. Wouldn’t mind grabbing some.

Questions since I haven't bought anything but ETH.

Once you have bitcoins and you transfer them to another exchange for Alts, are there more fees involved ? Like transfer fees and buying alt coins? Or are the only fees you are paying are the initial ones?

Just realized....if you wanna buy BTC without the hassle of an exchange and remain somewhat anonymous.....deposit funds using a credit card to a sportsbook like Bovada and withdraw it as bitcoin

The biggest ICO L of 2017 was and is electroneum.

Biggest marketing project I’ve ever seen...and yet, no one still can access their token.

If I could actually access my **** it would be my most profitable investment

Hopefully it will come good eventually :rolleyes

Oh well.... Looks like a big green day today for :pimp:

BTC & LTC All time high

Btc will be at a point where avg joes from now on will only own fractions (mbits of btc). Money will start going heavy into eth/ltc and “legit” alts. A few may hate, but im seeing BCH (bitcoin cash) as an alternative for investors to put $$$ in and see growth. They have high adoption and devs working nonstop (peep their twitter). So keep an eye or stack a few BCH while CHEAP

Finally have some skin in the game. Started out basic with BTC, LTC, and NEO. Going to do some research over the next few weeks and begin diversifying my portfolio. Thanks for all the knowledge dropped in this thread. I have been quietly lurking for awhile just somewhat nervous to jump in as investing isn't a strong suit of mine. Looking forward to learning a lot quickly. The info about avoiding fees is good to know, it's crazy how every transaction is nearly $3 on the main sites.

Any experience with Shift Card? Is it reliable?

Yes. One thing tho is that some merchants take out big holds when you make purchases. I bought 20 dollars of gas one time and they held 70+ bucks. I was like where TF is my money? But it's a solid card and customer service is responsive
