This is Skitzo?????????
thats cam's problem right there....el cheapo beats...no not to skitzo, he's cool..but i ain't a fan of one producer doin da entirealbum, its bound to contain some kinda filler.

there's alot of good producers that aren't expensive:

alchemist
pete rock
large professor
heat makerz
premier
havoc
dame grease

and cam has ripped beats from most these dudes.

I agree, that's song is crack. I Like crime pays overall, I can bump the whole album from track 1-23. There's not a lot of LP's I can do that to.

I never knew there were 2 versions of I.B.S. I thought the one on the album was pretty good.

Given the lyrical laziness of so much modern mainstream hip-hop, it's easy to understand why critics overpraised Cam'ron's 2004 album, "Purple Haze." Sure, the New York rapper could weave a dizzying number of drug metaphors and haute couture references into a single song. And yet dozens of other rappers have managed the same feat with better hooks, more personality and half the acclaim. With five years of hindsight, the technically impressive but curiously joyless "Purple Haze" now feels like a momentarily diverting spin on too-familiar gangsta-rap tropes.

Inconsistent and overlong, the new "Crime Pays" barely rises to the level of a diversion, and it's certainly not very pleasant. At his most technically outlandish or casually weird, Cam'ron can still make the most cliched subject matter sound strange, as when he claims his "car's the same color as fluoride" and name-checks "Gilligan's Island" or "Homicide." But too often he's content to list the contents of his gun cabinet, or offer banal boasts about his big-spender lifestyle.

And for every unexpected musical idea, like swiping cheesy European techno keyboards on "Spend the Night," there are two or three leaden, generic beats that could be off a third-rate rapper's homemade mix tape. Worst of all, any virtuosic moments are obscured by Cam'ron's contemptuously lazy monotone delivery, a voice too dull to sell pulp thrills with any conviction. Even at his most skillful, Cam'ron sounds like he's having very little fun.

i just heard black milks version last night

it sucks.

it sucks cuz the sample, the way it was used in his version playin throughout the background, and playing longer is annoying.

ok cd... nothing special.. but what got me damn mad was him changing the song to My Job.. what the hell was that !?!?!

You can't be talkin bout the version with Royce song wise that shhh is def better than the Cam & Jada version. I bet Cam & Jadawould've ripped the song better than what they did if they had Black's version

just listened to both back to back, this time im wide awake, last time i was noddin off, but didnt successfully fall asleep

results....
inconclusive. BMs sample isnt as annoying now that im fully wake
laugh.gif

so im not gonna say that either version is better than the other.
but i will say this, if u take away the sample from both versions, than i would say the beat on cams song > bms beat.

but BMs drums knock harder tho
laugh.gif

^^ Not to mention Royce/BM go WAYYYY harder on that track than Cam/Jada

not to take anything away from Cam and Jada i think they are great rappers but Royce and BM kill that *%*%+!@ song... and personally i think royce is thathardest *%*%+!@ rapper in the game right now.

and i am a HUGE Cam fan

at first i wasnt felling the album as a whole, maybe only 6 or 7 songs. but its growing on me now. feeling the majority with the exception of a few. used toget in ohio>curve. curve is still heat though
