OFFICIAL COMIC BOOK THREAD

I will go on record as saying the best iron man look has always been war machine :p

And I really hope they don't bring jean back....I mean stuff's been brewing between emma and namor but who doesn't get something brewing with namor. That love drama crap between jean and cyke needs to be kept at bay and only referenced as so far as the phoenix is concerned. Hope should be the replacement for a new marvel girl/jean grey. Period.

Punisher is starting to semi-heat up which is a good thing. as far as ghost rider is concerned they need him to start fighting bigger evils like mephisto, zarathos, or even go after someone like cyttorak and get colossus involved...that would be cool.

spider-man right now is not interesting me in the least bit only so far as the avengers is concerned.

I like the new spin on venom...will continuereading that one.

And what happened to lil apocalypse recently meeting some new friends...well....:smokin

the new daredevil series is very nice imo...also the avengers vs xmen series is ok...was wondering is there a site i can find out what my comics worth?or any other site besides ebay where i can sell/buy/trade?thanx

Just recently started X-Factor since I literally don't have any monthly Marvel books I read.  Bought the first trade of the most recent run last week and it was

.  Ordered Vol. 2 and Batman: Court of Owls trade which should be in tomorrow.

Anyone bout to pick up the new Gambit series tomorrow?

They're already putting together a new Fantastic Four(w/the director of Chronicle) and they're ready to make Daredevil (w/the director of The Grey), but things came together too late, because I think the rights to DD only last til December and they can't get the film started by then.

That's why they're making this move to give away 2 side characters they've already used and don't esp. need anymore to keep a franchise.
It makes sense.

Oh it does. I was just being a greedy prick.

Briefly: What’s really going on with Marvel and Fox? It was wild to hear earlier today that Marvel Studios and Fox are looking to do a little horse trading, with Marvel giving Fox more time to make a new Daredevil movie before the rights go back to Marvel this October. The deal would be that Marvel gets a couple characters Fox holds the rights to: Galactus and the Silver Surfer. But now we’re into the re-spin mode, with Fox saying there’s no chance of giving up Galactus. After all, he’s a key part of the Fantastic Four character stable. With Fox just about to make a new FF movie, it seemed weird that the studio would give away such a huge character in the first place.

And so Deadline reports talk from “studio insiders” that say Fox is actually looking at letting Daredevil go back to Marvel. Sure, the studio has a reportedly great script in hand with a ’70s thriller / classic Frank Miller vibe and Joe Carnahan (The Grey) in talks to direct. Looking at the recent Fox lineup, however, the success the studio has had with films like X-Men: First Class and Rise of the Planet of the Apes point to the studio being a lot more interested in Fantastic Four than Daredevil. A ’70s thriller vigilante hero movie isn’t the sort of thing Fox seems interested in now.

What Fox reportedly is interested in is either co-financing Daredevil with Marvel and Disney, or just letting the character go. This one is developing, and we’ll have more soon. Don’t get to set on any one outcome until we know there’s a real deal in place.

That Future Foundation looks pretty trash and not liking the Fantastic Four cover art either for Marvel NOW

nah future foundation is pretty good. Their dealing with a lot of issues....annihilus, future franklin and val coming back, the issue like a month ago where they went into the future and Ben was the only surviving member was a pretty touching issue.

As long as spider-man is part of FF I think it adds some humor. I wonder if he's still down?

As for AvX....they just keeping ******g with my man Thunderbolt Ross. Why did Emma have a problem mind-******g him though? Does it come with the territory of being a hulk?

And x-men are starting to turn on their phoenix's.

Anyone remember Force Works? That **** was so 90's. I just read an old issue I had from when I was a kid. (Was heavy into Avengers West Coast for some reason)

anybody have suggestions on indie titles? right now i have Saga, The Massive, and The Manhattan Projects in rotation :hat

Brubaker's Winter Soldier
Yost's Scarlet Spider
Waid's Daredevil
Hickman's F4 & FF (which is also ending as he switches to write Avengers & New Avengers for Marvel NOW)

It was also just announced Kelly Sue Deconnick (writer) and Stefano Caselli (art) will be taking over on Avengers Assemble which isn't apart of Marvel NOW similar to her Captain Marvel, Fraction's Hawkeye, and Asmus' Gambit

(There's talk of this being old reused art from another artist and it's just a teaser image not the actual cover) Hulk is drawn weird like they crammed him in to that image.

Who did the cover art?

I really like that.
Tony Moore is the artist and Val Staples is the colorist or Geoff Darrow did the cover, not sure lol.

:lol Damn you took it back. I only remember the cartoon and when the members would show up in Iron Man's cartoon.
New Hulk....possibly will be my first Hulk
1000

I haven't read hulk since world war hulk...everything after that has been corny and laughable...seeing whut Waid has done with daredevil makes this new hulk an insta cop for me
I liked Loeb's Hulk run up to when it was revealed who Red Hulk was. Also liked the idea of Betty being a Hulk but now there's a bit too many of them running around. I'll agree about the current Incredible Hulk. I liked the idea of it but Aaron's execution on it has not been good, the last issue was really good though, guess cuz it's finally wrapping up.
