Official FIFA Soccer 14 Thread

My fifa 14 wont even load up, bought it digitally btw. I get the to the start screen and then it acts as if it was my first time installing and makes me play barca and madrid while it installs. Then it says its complete and i press x to get it started and i get a picture of the field with the spinning thing in the bottom corner forever...wtfff

Can someone sell me on playing Ultimate Team? I always hear its great but never wanted to take the time to start off from nothing. Is there any kind of structure and incentive to winning like there is in the online seasons? Or do you just try to put together your best squad possible and do nothing but watch your record go up and down. Cause if thats all you do im gonna keep on trying to get in the highest division possible in online seasons.

Just copped 14 since I had games to trade in. But I remember in 13, you had trophies from leagues and tourneys to compete for. So it isn't just having your record go up.
 
Ok cool. Also if I dont buy the gold packs with real money does it take extremely long to put a decent squad together? Or does it take serious time and dedication if I just use what they give me to buy them. I understand you cant just put an all-star team together but I also dont want to invest so much time into it that by the time I have a great squad FIFA 15 is about to come out.

^ i have a nice little Brazilian squad already and I havent spent too much time in it. My best player is lucas and my record is 12-1
 
I see nice. Any tips on whats the quickest way to build a team? Like save up for a gold pack right away or work your way up to it buying some lower priced packs first?

play a couple of offline seasons with your bronze players you can earn a easy 15k from 3 seasons and like 12 matches
with that 15 K you could build a OP Cheap BPL team I prefer 41212(2) with 2 cms with High/Medium workrates instead of Wingers

Begovic
Evra - Cahill - Koscielny - Richards
Lucas Leiva
Paulinho - Fernandinho
De Bruyne
Benteke - Remy

That squad cost 15k at the most and you might be able to get it for even cheaper since TOTY fowards are out and everyone is splurging on packs which makes everyone elses prices come down. You will also want to buy players to rotate for fitness i suggest 1 GK 1 CB 1 LB 1 RB 1 CM 1 CDM 1 CAM and 1 ST so my bench would look something like Mignolet, Kaboul, Jose Enrique, Sagna, Kagawa, Sandro, Carrick, Chicharito. Thats an extra 8-10K which is like 1 online season.

That will get you started with a squad that actually plays really good, cheap, and with subs that will keep players fresh. You can then try to win some online Tournys and Season to try to save up coins for the more expensive Upgrades and IF like Cech, David Luiz, Fellaini, Ramirez, Santi Carzola, IF Bendtner
 
Does FIFA redo the rosters/ratings of players in soccers January transfer window? Like a permanent update? I also ask because Quaresma is back and he is not in the game.
 
i dont remember about ratings so much but they'll do the transfers after the window has closed, and usually they will add players if they werent previously in the game

He'll be on your reserves.. I use Liverpool, and put Sturridge back on the bench from the reserves while he was injured.

Injured players are always in reserves. Only issue with them is their stats are lower due to their injury.

yea I know, I'm just saying if someone decides to do career more with Man U, they're going to have a killer squad because of the default settings. You know what I'm saying? That's absurd to me.
 
Did anybody manage to pull TOTY card on NT? I spent the real US currency for the holiday pack on New Year's and then spent it again trying to get TOTY.

The New Year's pack I basically pulled a good La Liga Defense and Midfield as well as In Form Adebayor (sold for 18K).



The attempted TOTY pack I got nothing. Nobody that sells for more than 2K.
 
Man I just started ultimate team a week ago and got addicted. I'm not that good at all so I'm just playing offline seasons so far. I got 17k coins and have an 80 rated team but i'm not close to affording any of the top players. For example I wanted Yaya Toure and he goes for 140k :{

I got yaya in a pack and sold him for 130k your best bet is getting packs and selling players for $ ..or just keep playing
