The thing I love about Ronaldo is he is who he is. He would have never been as good as he is if he wasn't a selfish A-hole at times. I honestly am never surprised when he does stuff like this because he wants to play and wants to win. This has been seen in plenty of other sports when the player thinks they are still god level but aren't. The club can either humor him and hope he leaves on his own...or drop him and let him train alone and look to move him.

The whole "they are disrespecting Ronaldo" narrative is stupid. At the end of the day if a player gives a team the best chance at winning he plays. They aren't disrespecting him, like he is obviously their best option but they hate him so they are benching him. It is time for both to move on and its obviously going to be a shaky exit.

Was reported plenty of times that Ten Hag was fine with letting him leave once he let it be known he wanted out and skipped preseason.

It was Joel Glazer who misguidedly wanted to keep him but the fact of the matter at the end of the day is that nobody, outside of Saudi, actually sent an official offer for him.

His agent went around twerking for CL clubs all throughout Europe all summer only for most of them to publicly deny any interest. Tuchel even risked his job to reject any plans/directives to bring him in.

Nobody is responsible for this situation than him tbh. The manager has played things perfectly and has made the club finally act with some balls for a change after years of bending backwards to player power. Nobody should be bigger than the club no matter how great or decorated they are
