Joff was never with the **** on that level

yo just finished the episode...

can't believe that bastard Ramsey did Bae like that :{ (don't worry Missandei, you still my number one).

I thought for sure Theon would be byke and off Ramsey before the act...

then Stannis and his army would come and save the day :{

Scene didn't bother me...

I think it's funny that this scene caused people to quit watching the show.

Were they like, "I was okay with them killing babies. I was even okay with them stabbing and killing Rob's pregnant wife. But psycho Ramsey raping Sansa?? That's where I draw the line." :lol :{

i know damn.

what if she gets raped again next sunday?

(which is honestly a fair assumption)

the internet will break.

I think it's worth mentioning I enjoy discussing the choices the showrunners make and why they make them as much as I do the actual changes in the story. I just wanted to add that explanation for some of my posts.

I recognize there is rape in the Game of Thrones universe. But I'm more interested in when the show writers decide to add it where it wasn't before and when and why they choose to use it as a plot device. These are conscious creative decisions they make. As such I think it's fair to discuss the why.

They decide to inject rape where it wasn't before (and where the story otherwise flowed even smoother without it) I think it's worth debating its necessity.

"Rape happens" isn't a sufficient answer for me.

they did it so we talk about it.

The arguing about that scene and people saying they are done with the show have become so annoying

So killing babies, shanking a preggo woman, incest, incest relations ontop of a dead body is all ok but a rape scene is too much?

Oh.

They are half assing the Dorn storyline, which is a shame because the premise was actually pretty great. They have a Lannister daughter and sent that awesome threatening letter to Cersei (which now got me thinking, the Dorn King didn't send that letter)

They haven't really fleshed out any of the Dorn characters besides the rebels, which are corny tbh. They also aren't really intimidating. They lack numbers or influence. Just 4 women on their own trying to stir trouble

The disabled King of Dorn seems to be pretty virtuous which is an interesting angle and contrast to most of the Game of Thrones world

stayed out of here and online to avoid spoilers. Finally saw the episode last night, and nothing surprised me or made me feel like I need to stop watching GoT. People online and in here talking about the "rape scene" is ridiculous to me. How is this any different from Dany and Khal on their wedding night, or the many other nights thereafter? It wasn't until she was taught by the girl how to please the Khal, that she took control of their intimate nights.

Where in that scene was Sansa being raped? True, it wasn't the most pleasant way to lose her virginity, but rape is a stretch. Ramsey forcing Theon to watch, was him being him. We all knew he wasn't going to change after getting married, and shouldn't be surprised at how vile and disgusting the guy is. I think people feel bad for her, and as a result want to say she was raped. If Tyrion wasn't ashamed of being attracted to her, and feeling bad that she didn't want him because he was a dwarf, he would have did his husbandly duty with her too. Of course she wouldn't want it from him, but that wouldn't change the dynamic. People wouldn't be calling it rape if Tyrion did it with her. In all honesty most of the woman given to men of other families to form alliances during that time don't really want to, but have to. It isn't called rape in any of those situations. Now if Ramsey came to her room prior to that night literally forced himself on her while she is screaming no then I can see it. On their wedding night Sansa knows she has to consummate the marriage, and like all the woman during that time, they comply and do it.
