Michael Jordan had Scottie Pippen... Kobe Bryant had a prime Shaq then Gasol... LBJ had Mo Williams and an ancient Jamison.

I just don't get it...
No. You don't. Those weren't manufactured teams. This one is. It takes the spirit of competition and integrity and throws it out the window.
So the other 29 team vying for a championship aren't enough for competition?

But the funny thing in all of that is Kobe still needed another top player to win it all again. So he never won it "by himself." Maybe without Shaq, but never by himself.

At the end of the day NOBODY does it alone. I can't understand why this is such a hard concept to grasp.
Gasol is so inferior to a prime shaq and prime Wade that it is not even funny. is that such a hard concept to grasp? You should seriously become a heat fan.
You completely missed my point.

Why are you trying to label be as a fan of a team. I don't have any alliance to any team in any sport.

The point is, Kobe never won a ring by himself. Pau Gasol is a top post player in the NBA. Yes he isn't Shaq, obviously, but Kobe still needed "help" to win it all. That is the main point.

I agree with you in the sense of how Lebron was proclaimed to be the "Chosen One" and the King and what not.

If the Heat do win the title whether this year or down the road his perception will take a hit because of it.

LeBron had 2 options to win and win right now. A) Miami. B) Chicago. and even Chicago would have taken some pretty good foresight to think Rose becomes Rose this quickly.

Cleveland and New York would have been nice 'stories' (and believe me, I wanted him in NY more than anything) but it's obvious by now neither of those teams could have won it all this year, not with Chicago emerging and not with Boston having one more year left...down the line in a year or 2, yes, at least in NY a team could have been built/filled out. but I can't blame him for not wanting to wait out another prime year of his career for more help. He comes up short in either of those places, he's killed, again. He wins a ring in Miami, it's 'tainted' to some, but I think that's the better alternative.

Also if I recall correctly, the media started the King James and Chosen One labels. Not LeBron. The NBA knew he was going to be great, the next great thing. So the media jumped on board.
