Jets season ends tonight with mixed feelings. I'm very disappointed that it ends tonight and its not even that I wanted to be in the playoffs (that would have been unbelievably awesome) but more so that I don't get to watch this team again til fall.
With that said this has been an awesome season to experience. Just being back in the NHL was cool, but we had some truly incredible moments this year. From opening night, to the 9-8 win in Philly, snapping Boston's win streak in December, Selanne's return later that month, the "silver medal" and "Crosby's better" chants when our building was so loud while we were still fighting for a playoff spot.
I've watched this team grow, Blake Wheeler became a true offensive force and Evander Kane getting 30 goals. Between those 2 guys and others like Bogosian, Byfuglien and Pavelec we have some great pieces moving forward.
Anyways, good luck to the 16 teams in the playoffs and hopefully the Jets can be one of those teams next year
