Flyers are gonna have to gut the team to get Luongo....Juice ain't worth the squeeze, IMO.

with the 2 amnesty clauses, i think Philly would use one on Pronger and one on Bryz next year.

Oh he doesn't suck anymore he can still play, there are only so many good goal tneders in the elague man, Luongo is one of them, the Vancouver climate could melt the mind of any player, it's Louongo has never been good in the playoffs.

I'm just going off of what the Leafs were offering (Bozak/Frattin & either a 1st or 2nd rounder). One of the young studs the Flyers have will end up going to Vancouver. Not worth it for Philly. As DSA said, he's a mental ******.
Not for nothing, but there is a TON of pressure in Philly. Not like what it was in Vancouver, but it's hard on goalies and the second Luongo melts down, he'll be torn apart - again.
*In Caps news, Nick Backstrom injured his neck in the KHL. He went to Michigan to see a specialist. Nothing can be reported until Sunday, but this doesn't bode well for the team right now. For as good as Ovie is, you can easily make a case for Backstrom being the most important Cap right now.

I always thought mental ****** meant unintelligent...
Luongo doesnt suck so much as he is a volume goaltender. I think you throw 50 shots a night at him like he had in Florida, youd see a marked improvement.
I.E. Canucks defense is TOO GOOD.

I would do this deal in a heartbeat. However, I was hearing a rumor saying the Nucks wanted Kadri & Gardiner in any deal they made with Luongo.
From Toronto, I'm hearing things like Burke didn't want to do a Luongo deal right away and so the Leafs got rid of him because the ownership want Luongo here ASAP.
Also heard that Burke did indeed want to make a Luongo deal, but was being an idiot about it and not wanting to part ways with Gardiner and Frattin who he believes in way too much.
Re: Burke's firing, Nonis is responsible for everything Burke did here and in the past, so the timing and entire situation is very fishy, but people are saying Burke was being an a-hole and they just wanted to get rid of him

After much back and forth between the league and the Wild front office... The Wild gets their way with a Home and Season Opener on Hockey Day MN vs. The Avalanche.
My wallet is ready.
Earlier in the week it was COL @ MN, then MN @ COL (since the avs were running into arena availability issues) to back to @ MN. And the wild get 3 home games to start the season with the other teams being the Stars and Nashville.
