They'd have to give up a decent amount to get him. Kreider (obviously) and Stepan seem like two candidates for the Oilers to target.

EDM also needs a goalie....I would say Buffalo, but I'd have to think Miller wouldn't waive his NTC to go there.

I honestly haven't drawn up the outgoing pieces. STL would have to do a lot of shuffling financial to fit Ry's $6.5M contract. I'd start with Halak and add additional pieces from there.

Supposedly Blues were in on Vanek before the move to NYI.

I personally don't think the Blues need Miller or are looking to try and give up their young pieces to get him. Elliot/Halak is the best 1-2 duo in the NHL IMO.
Especially when both guys are playing up to their potential.

STL is pretty close to the last place hell possibly end up. Halak/elliot and then that Jake Allen kid they came up and beasted last yr when halak was hurt.

The whole situation is the oilers management's fault. In the beginning their original plan was to ship Hemsky out for help on the back end but when MacT came in he promised Hemsky he wont trade him cause they have a great run in 2006.
