OFFICIAL HOMELAND Thread | FINAL SEASON

I was just ponderin'...Carrie put together a solid time line of events in the last episode but had a gap in time where the missile hit the school that killed the innocent kids as well as Issa. Saul even confirmed the time line was legit if I remember correctly...Why wasn't anything done with that? Crazy or not. They should've been able to look at that & see it was valid....Now thinking Saul or Estes is the mole....

I think they're saving that for later.  It's been, what, over 6 months since that and they probably treated it as a part of Carrie's bipolar-episode. Plus when they did the electo-shock therapy, she lost a bit of her memory. Perhaps they'll go back to some of those details later on?

Carrie being the mole would just be too much... Saul on the other hand...

Alright then Estes will tell the Veep Waldon everything & they will hatch a plan where they will turn Brody & create a story where he was working with the CIA all along so not to ruin his election chances & in true government fashion, Estes will get a promotion.

Brody will go along because he doesn't want to lose the life he has now but he won't be Waldon's running mate. He will be forced to work with Carrie to get Nazir. Carrie will end up falling for the dude running the special ops that went to Harvard.

Meanwhile, the Veep will tell his son he can no longer see Brody's daughter & some drama will ensue there. I can't figure out what will develop with Mike & Lauder though...

Just kinda brainstorming...

I could sorta possibly see Estes as being the mole, if it doesn't end up being a random character, how else would that chick get his personal combination for his safe, then again its a huge leap.

As far as where the series goes, i think with Mike and his crazy drunk buddy discussion possible theories, If they find out Brody is arrested, they might come out with consipracy theories about him working under order of the CIA, seeing as how thats who they think at the moment are responsible for Brody's change of behavior. And they will come out publicly say stuff claiming CIA did this and that, and are now lieing calling him a terrorist, and they will bring up Carrie and Brody's relationship that Mike now knows about. Either that or "turn" Brody back around and we then play rest of season trying to figure out whether Brody is still loyal to Abu Nazir or to helping the CIA.

man they rushed the hell of it IMO.. but that must mean they have something very special up their sleeves.

The other thing I keep "ponderin" about is when Estes' son answered the door with the Vader mask saying, "I am your father". I bet the writers inserted that as a kind of rabbit to warn the viewers a big turn in the story is coming like when Lucas dropped the bomb that Vader was Luke's father...I know I could be reaching with these thoughts but my mind is kinda racing about the show...

So Estes' son...could be one of Abu Nazir's moles!!!

It all makes sense now!!!

No no no....They just used the Vader image & line as a warning shot to viewers that a story arc is coming...

ain't no way that's happening
the US killed his son and said they were terrorists
no dad is going to work for a company like that...

Gov't sponsored terrorist :lol

Yeah there's no way he's willingly and knowingly working for them. Indirectly and unknowingly though is possible but that's the kind of twist you'd get from 24.

the fact that it got renewed for Season 3 and then a few hrs later the Brody thing happens, it's like wow - how much crazier will things get??????

The reason why I speculated about Nazir working for the CIA (at some point), is that he's loosely based on Bin Laden who was initially trained, armed, & funded by the US. I could see Estes & the Veep having some history with Nazir that we don't know about. I also often wonder about Brody's suicide vest not working. I once saw a doc on YouTube about suicide vests & how they are made so meticulously.

This is why I thought before the season about not watching any of the episodes this season & let them store on my DVR so I can just watch them all in one shot (like I did with the first season). This waiting for the next episode is for the birds...

I can't believe this thread is only 10 pages, while "The Walking Dead" one is 20 plus pages.

Anyways

Lets goooo

Reading a few tweets from critics, this episode could be an all timer.

OOOOOHHHHHH MMMMMAANNNNNN

This episode was like a hardy meal. You know when you hungry , starving? Then you just eat and feel completely full? All my questions got answered and I feel more comfortable in where the show is going now and how it can last a few more seasons.

It never struck me that Brody would go double agent as obvious as that twist is in most scenarios. This show is so grounded I figured it wouldn't go that route but they managed to pull it off in an organic way. Convincing his wife that he's working confidentially for the CIA is funny though, probably gonna get her to think he's a secret agent. I like how he's using new truths to cover up old lies (reminds me of Dexter, especially this season).

This ep was really great. I'll enjoy watching Brody play both sides as he tries to come out of this surviving. I gotta feeling he'll end up getting the vc killed and still find a way to stay and politics if he wants and probably smash Carrie a few more times. Not rooting for him but the show continually stays exciting as he manages to struggle and succeed past obstacles.

This new guy is hilarious. Criticizing Carrie for being unpredictable but he's stabbing ppl cuz he's impatient :lol I was waiting for him to use the excuse that he was doing good cop, bad cop.

I literally fell out my chair when the kids hit that lady with the car. I was expecting them to get in a car accident not that. I was riding with them and then BAM! :eek :lol

Hmmmmm. Just watched.

Some things struck me, I almost felt like this episode was fore-shadowing. I think Abu-Nazeer's plan (or one of them) is to attack the Vice-President's son, perfect revenge. Dana is dating him, she may get caught in the way. One of them will die, or both.

Or maybe, I'm crazy.

kind of felt eh about this episode. it was obvious he was gonna hit someone as soon as he ran the red light. there was no need to extend that scene. also brody cracking after she says she loves him but he was able to withstand whatevr amount of years of torture before teaching issa and even thinking he killed his best friend.
