OFFICIAL HOMELAND Thread | FINAL SEASON

The Russian dude Allison is closely teamed up with said he would be there to meet Carrie when she touches down in Amsterdam. So i'm guessing he was following her the whole time, so she could lead him to the false dead dude, and so he could kill her in the process. Not even sure if those guys were Russian.

He said he would handle her in Amsterdam.

was allisons collapse because her secret is now out or because saul trusts carrie so much?

Allison collapse was because she's scared as hell that Carrie will find out what's in those documents

I hope she gets a bullet right in between her eyes. Variant Brody is moving around too suspiciously.

Yea I hate that reporter chick. This show really keeps churning out characters that I hate :lol never seen anything like it

He said all of that just to make Allison feel better. He was still doubting Carrie was alive when she told him. Still trying to avoid the worst case scenario. He didn't even know Carrie was on During's estate so I doubt he had his ppl following her.

Plus when Allison told him Carrie was pretty much already on her way to Amsterdam. Those Russians only got a clue Carrie was around when she hopped out the window. She made the dumb move not to shoot that guy in the head after he opened the safe. She could've taken those 2 dudes. Had the element of surprise.

So yeah I highly doubt he had Carrie followed or even knew when she got there. Pretty much looks like it'll be the meet with Allison that allows dude to try and kill Carrie again.

Just here to echo my distaste for that reporter chick.

Anyway... wow, Allison... a mole since the beginning... that's some real The Americans ish, if anyone watches that.  Her Russian handler even called her by her Russian name, Alichka!

But that Oriole part confused me a bit.  That older guy who called Carrie back was an asset of hers, I guess?  Not sure how that will play into the future plot, if at all.  I'll need to read up on it.

And Saul defecting!  Whoa.

RIP to the cabbie... dude was really making the most of his new life.

And Amsterdam looks amazing.

I'm guessing Oriole was Carrie's code name which dude called her by.

He had tried to contact her to tell her dude was not dead which would've had Carrie make the connections earlier. Allison probably intercepted it and tucked it away. I guess since Carrie took over w/e op in Iraq/Iran (I forget which) that Allison was in charge of she would be the one to figure it out.

I'm guessing this guy knows Allison is a double agent/mole.

RIP to the cabbie.

Russians are real solid with tying up loose ends.

This season has to end crazy epic, so many plot twists when stuff is revealed. Its annoying how Saul and Carrie don't see shorty is playing them. I kinda feel like they know and are putting together a big reveal...maybe.

I don't see how Saul didn't make her immediately after her facial expressions in the bathroom. Saul has always been pretty sharp but I'm disappointed in him right now.

That was super obvious. It's just bad writing at this point. The second he tells her Carrie is alive and has the files she gets sick. I mean she caught a super panic attack real quick. You mean to tell me Saul is that mesmerized by the yambs?

I gotta think Mandy and Claire had to be asking the show runners why aren't our characters suspicious of Allison? Is an infiltration of the CIA that thorough so unthinkable? Especially to the ppl who just dealt with Brody who fooled so many ppl which led to an attack.

Or... maybe both Carrie and Saul know... and are trying to lure Allison and her Russian buddies out?

Finally watched the latest episode.

Saul and Carrie:

Like mentioned in here, I was surprised/disappointed that Saul didn't pick up on how funny Allison was acting after he told her about Carrie.

How did she make the connection just by looking at the screensaver picture

The guy has been supposedly dead for so many years, couldn't he just have lived lavishly without any association from Allison

That guy wasn't a peasant by any means, he looked well off even when Claire Danes met him for the first time.

She made the connection cuz she remembered first meeting Allison which had a lot to do with handing over the asset.

She somehow has perfect recall to remember that conversation about Allison talking about where she'd go on vacation. The key part in it all is she remembers that Allison let Carrie know that Zari wanted to smash.

What's funny to me is after getting blackmailed by the Russians, Allison still went on vacation with the dude :lol

Allison is also dumb for not killing Carrie cuz she didn't figure out everything yet. Giving her more time with all those files she would've put it together.

Killing her wouldn't have cleared her, she doesn't know who she is working with, if she was killed it could of been a red flag to expose the files. She did right by not killing her for her concern but she's still finished at this point, her position has been exposed.

The During guy and that journalist don't even know where Carrie is. Allison knows During probably has a copy or would assume that. After you kill Carrie you send them Russians to kill During and the journalist at his home.

That's what I thought they were always going to do.

Also Allison doesn't need to be cleared of anything right now. Nobody suspects of her anything. It's only until he end of this ep that Carrie put things together. Had Allison had Carrie killed nobody would've even known they were meeting. I see it as a costly mistake on Allison's part and that's shown by the end of the ep.

On another note, terrible hairstyle for Allison back in '05. Was that a bad wig or terrible blond highlights?

I guess bangs were in during 2005.

Slow episode, but it didn't bother me.  Moved the story and showed us Allison's backstory.  So I guess she isn't Russian after all!

We saw the pic of Acrobat at the Banana bar, but was Allison there too?  She booked a flight (and probably hotel/resort) for him in anticipation of meeting up there, but it didn't necessarily mean that she was there.  He had to leave cuz they bombed that building, but Allison was there the whole time.

And where the hell is that Quinn storyline going?!

I think it was being she "confirmed" he was dead in the blast she just figures she knew he faked his death. This reveal wasn't the best writing but I think the next few episodes will tighten the story up. I mean it wasn't the greatest evidence to know an agent is rouge but it was drawn out for so long, I mean how didn't she know it was her when she was saying hello like crazy after the plane crash on the Russian phone.

Next few? There are only 2 episodes left in the season :lol

Something is about to go down next episode in true Homeland fashion. The episode before the Season Finale is always a doozy.

That's what I was thinking, isn't the games key component to not getting caught "Tying up loose ends"
