What the average American would refer to as a 'wife-beater' is called a 'ginny tee' in the tri-state area (maybe elsewhere, who knows). MTV was bleeping the term 'ginny' of ginny tee. Which is ironic considering Guido was and still is once considered a slur by some, but there's no problem with them saying it.
