Everyone just knows him as that guy that sang Daughters and Your Body Is A Wonderland.

I dunno anyone that clowns John Mayer. My elitist guitarist friends thinks he's overrated as a guitarist, but they respect his song writingskills. John has evolved so much as an artist it's not even funny. I personally think he did those bubble gum songs just so he can eventually do what hewants (Continuum). Your friends need to get up on his blues stuff.

For me, most of my friends that hate on John Mayer acknowledge he's a pretty good artist but despise him because they think he's a huge d-bag. One ofthem saw that special he did on MTV (where he dresses up as a bear and asks fans about himself) and decided from that point on that he was the douchiestcelebrity he's ever seen.
