Corks are awful.

Looks like they'll disintegrate the moment you put your foot in the shoe.

LMAO!!!! These got soooo much love upon 2nd view from so many thread visitors, they look worse and worse the more pics that are shown... :lol

I disagree. I like the creativeness. I hope most think the way you do. That way it will make it easier to cop without forking out over retail. Keep the 'worse and worse' pics coming!!

I am no shoe expert, but the shoe is not corked on the inside, so i'm willing to bet the level of comfort is exactly the same as the rest.
Doubt it. There looks like there's little to no padding on the ankle area on the corks.

I HAVE THE CHANCE TO GRAB PRESSURES AT 180...WONDERING IF I SHOULD TRY AND HAGGLE DOWN TO 170 OR TAKE THEM AT 180... FRANKLY I DONT WANT TO SPEND 180 ON EM EITHER

how quick opinions change with a new set of pics. :lol

I told ya'll nike was smart when releasing those marketing pics of james in the proper accenting outfit to match the corks. Nike knew most people will see the first official pics they released and base their purchase decision and hype off that. Then with their minds made up, no future pics would deter them from not purchasing it. Except NT of course, because most on here just needed a few more closer shots to realize the marketing blitz nike is pulling here.:D

I seriously want to see the box they put these corks in because I bet it will be better than the actual shoes. Imagine a lacquered wooden crate stamped with associating logos then the inside velvet plush interior with leather confetti scraps cuddling the shoes with a personal hand written note from the King himself thanking you for helping him win his 1st championship and these shoes are a way to be one with him and his trophy. :eek

Its a regular release, all footlockers will get these not just HOH locations. Call them and see what they are doing for your area.

You can call and ask but my local HOH is doing a raffle now on the more high demand shoes. I believe this is a new Foot Locker policy. You go a few days before and pick up a ticket and they call you if you win. You should call and see what day they are doing the raffle if they are doing one.

LMAO:rollin

if someone can convince me the lining of these will be just as comfortable as the other Xs, let me know

While I can't prove either way until trying them on for myself, I can point out what I do like about cork material.
First off, cork is used in a lot of products because its impermeability(the ability to repel fluids) and elasticity(the ability to return to it's original shape); meaning easy to clean and maintain. Because of corks natural properties, structure and fire-resistance, it is used in footwear to improve climate control and comfort; since cork is rather soft and porous(lite construction). Cork is also generally regarded as enviromentally friendly.
Also of note, since cork is harvested from live trees, no two bark materials will be the same. They may look the same from far away, but up close each will show it's own patterns; just look at a cork from a wine bottle.
Plus my girl who actually own's a pair of cork heels, says the comfort level is not a problem. In fact, since the shoe's heel is also made of cork, she say's the walk has a softer feel to it, almost like a bouncy feel. I trust a woman's response considering they walk for hours in what looks to be very uncomfortable heels. For what it's worth.
