Regarding the first paragraph, I agree, and all of that can easily be said for Jordan and the Bulls too. Best player in the East and then had the 2nd best player in Scottie. Nobody should be arguing this.

Is Bron also not hanging 30+ on KD's head despite KD's elite defense? Is KD shouldering the responsibility of being the primary playmaker for the rest of the offense like LeBron is?

Is he the primary playmaker? no... is he just chilling in the corner watching Steph cook? No. Point blank KD is in the game running/setting screens, still doing a nice share of playmaking and scoring 35 ppg. He was very active.

And on defense he guarded Bron way more than Bron guarded him, not to mention was way more active with help defense. Lebron is one of the best conditioned athletes in the world, And had yet another ice skate through the East. I'm not gonna sit here and give him the "fatigue" excuse. That was valid in 15 maybe, but Not last year. No way

Steph, Klay and Draymond put up 54.2 ppg

Kryie, Love, JR put up 57.2 ppg

Yet Bron had more responsibility than KD even though Bron was only playing on one side of the floor...

We just going to ignore LeBron having twice the amount of assists as KD?

Something something not the primary ball handler... something something lower usage rate... something something warriors offense doesn’t allow one player to get a lot of assists.

If we are gonna get into the nuances of this, aren't his assist numbers boosted because he prefers to dominate the ball & kick out to shooters? I mean he clearly has other guys who can create for themselves, yet they are forced to give up parts of their game so Lebron could be at his most comfortable.

It's the same double standard... But Lebron has to be the primary ball handler it causes fatigue... next sentence but look at his #'s tho.

You can't use the same outlier as a crutch & then as a trophy. So if him being a playmaker hurt his chances of playing his best ball when it mattered..... wouldn't those assist numbers in return be empty??

What waa Bron shooting to get those points vs KD compared to the other way around when they were guarding each other?
I have no idea. You should look that up. What I do know is Bron is shooting better than 50% for the series and averaging 35 a game.

Again, I'm not arguing that Bron's defense wasn't lackluster. It absolutely was. But if KD with his elite defense was guarding Bron so much, why was Bron able to put up the numbers he did? I'm just a bit confused by the logic.

Helpside defense. Him challenging shots at the rim on Love and Irving.

Lebrons team defense was non existent

Because he's a talented player... and the Warriors having viewed his past performances probably figured that by not doubling or forcing the ball out his hands, he was going to eventually decline during crucial moments of the game, when they needed the 30 ppg Lebron. Based off prior studies & the eventual results I believe they were correct.

What other Cavs can create for themselves besides Kyrie?
Gsw is a bad matchup for Love so not him.
Dudes just making up stuff lmao.

I'm pretty sure up through game 4 Bron's opponents were shooting 60% when guarded by him as the primary defender and KD was in the 30-40% range.

So what I'm gathering here is that they are pretty close as far as scoring goes, LeBron is the better facilitator, and KD is the better team defender? I don't disagree with any of that.

I can agree with that. And Bron was getting those buckets with ease.
thats the gameplan and it's worked more often then not. Let lebron do what he wants. ,don't help ,turn him into a scorer. Reason why when it comes to the best of the best HES lost a lot.. (FINALS) It's easier to stop one player that controls and is the offense then an actual offense. A talented team looking clueless when one Player isnt around isn't a good system. LeBron can't play off ball like curry and kd can and that will always be a problem against the best og the best.
Can LeBron beat you like that. ,he can but more often not you'll get The w playing the way pop and kerr make lebron the scorer and stay at home on everyone else. That's the gameplan.

The top 3 or 4 players are all near the same level. People take it as disrespect if you don't think they man the best. It's really splitting hairs between the best players right now.

Kyrie Can't get his own shot? Kevin Love can't get his own shot? J.R Smith Can't get his own shot? there's literally three guys who are atleast 15 ppg scorers and have made a career off being scorers yet people are "making things up"

Nah JR can’t get his own shot. But Deron Williams could until he played for Cleveland

Jr is a spot up shooter now, been that way for a minute.
Love is not creating anything vs Draymond or KD.
So yes you’re making things up.
