I mean this is kind of dumb to do considering they were on the same team & harden had a lesser role because Russ was clearly a better player through those years

but Okay cool.......

Harden - 27/5/7 on 41/32/88.... 5 To's
Russ - 25/6/8 on 41/30/84.... 3 turnovers

soooooooooo again if one is an inefficient chucker........

Speaking of lesser roles. Russ had a top 3 player in the nba leading his team for his entire career until last season. What were his numbers last season without said top 3 player?

39% shooting while attempting 30 FGs a game.

How dare people call him an inefficient chucker :smh:

Super team not referring to how the team came together but the actual talent already in place

I don't care that kd went over there either

Kobe from 2000 till he retired playoff numbers
27.7/5.4/5.1 on .543 TS

Harden's Rocket playoff numbers.
27.3/5.6/7.1 on .579 TS

Also since we LOVE context in here are we not gonna take into account

1) Kobe was playing up until the Finals against much better competition instead of second round flameouts
2) since we aren't gonna count Hardens years as a sixth man/third option... wouldn't it be fair to exclude Kobe's first two years when he played less than 20 minutes & put up 8 ppg on 40% shooting? i think that severely brings down his numbers no?

Lebron KD and Paul all did the same thing. Just different degrees of hot takes
Because there's clearly different circumstances on all 3

Lebby was the worst, kd second and paul 3

They all switched teams yes, but the moving parts of all their situations were clearly different

LeBron and KD maybe although Bron created a super team, KD joined one.
CP3... no lol If he went to the Spurs maybe but nah definitely not the same. Plus most of y’all were saying the Rockets would be worse by adding him.

How was what LeBron did worse than KD?
Unless you’re talking about people’s reactions to it.

I'm fine with people saying that, but considering him & harden share the same percentages come playoff time & Harden is averaging 5 TO's per game.... im kind of confused as to why nobody is calling him one ??

I omitted Kobes 1st 4 years and started when he 1st won a championship.

Harden has lost to 3 of the greatest teams ever by SRS. The only time I'll say he's choked was against Portland.

People are hypocrites and are biased as hell. Water is wet.
. His biggest criticism was how can you join a team that you lost up 3 -1." B made" . He should of just had ad join him in milwakee and no one would hate on him. Like Bron did.

Same way lot of rockets fan would ish on cp but now the honeymoon is on and he they savior.

Just maybe because he's leaps and bounds more efficient at scoring in the playoffs than Westbrook.

Now... what Melo and PG did are the exact same thing. Kevin Love tried to do the same thing to us too.

I also remember KG not even wanting to go to Boston until they got Ray Allen... so in a sense what Boston’s big 3 did was similar to what KD/Bron did

Why are we comparing the two in terms of efficiency? It’s not close in either the regular season or playoffs. Westbrook’s career high TS% is right on par with Harden’s career low as a rookie. This season they’re on complete polar opposite ends of the spectrum as far as efficiency.

People also don't mention that harden is hardly the black hole and ball hogger that russ is. Harden can actually play off the ball. Russ can't.

Part of the backlash on kd was because he was joining a team like the warriors, a super team or whatever

Rockets were never even really considered serious contenders let alone a super team, maybe that's part of the reason paul didn't get the same treatment

that's one, yes. But I'm confused, wasn't Paul traded to the Rockets as opposed to LeBron or KD making and joining a super team?

They are completely different scenarios, or am I missing something?

The people you're talking to don't know what a TS is

Yes the reaction and unprecedentedness of it. again I don't care that they did this

You had Lebby create a show out of it and then factor in bosh also joining, it was definitely perceived in a more negative light

Factor in that lebron was supposedly the best player in the game and he's joining a team like that as well

Not quite.

Paul was widely expected to exercise an early termination option to opt out of the final year of his previous deal to officially become a free agent this summer. It was seen as a mere formality.

Instead, Paul reversed course. He informed the Clippers that he wanted to go to Houston, then agreed to opt in to the final year of his deal to facilitate the trade. That allowed Houston to acquire Paul without dipping into cap space and gave the Clippers the chance to recoup value for a player they would have otherwise lost for nothing. Plus, Paul got to go to his preferred destination. Win, win, win.

Yes this is what erupt said as well, paul got to sort of choose his team though. Still, different circumstances
