If we strike out in free agency this offseason then what are our options? We can roll the money over 1 more year and do what we did this season and sign a bunch of 1 year deals and hope to sign a big named free agent next year but whose out there in the free agency class of 2019? Klay is re-signing w/ the Warriors and Jimmy Butler is likely resigning with the Wolves (and this next contract is gonna take him to 34 yo). The 2019 FA class is very thin.

Starting in the 2020 offseason, our roster starts to become more expensive b/c our young guys will be up for extension. We only have this offseason and the next to have alot of cap space
Option is patience. The young guys aren't going anywhere. Unless you don't have confidence in them to develop.
 
Guess I'm the only one who thinks the Laker core is good enough as is to grow into a championship contender. Gsw and houston's window will be closed by the time they're fully seasoned. We're competing with the Utah's and minnys of the league
